I've been using the old door teleport technique to take me places I want to be. It always ends up some strange facsimile of the place I wanted to go.
For example, i've often tried to visit a beautiful place I went to on holiday.
All I can say is that the place I ended up had hints of the place I was thinking about. It even felt a bit like it. But it was still a wonky dream scene.
I tried door Teleport last night. I was outside a bedroom. I closed the door and thought of the Enterprise Bridge (cos I wanted to see something hi-tech). When I opened the door, instead of walking onto the starship, the original room had filled up with a weird approximation. The view screen was one of those white boards that you roll up (like they use for presentations).
The captains chair was a sofa. Everything was squashed into the small room.
Colour me dissapointed!
So heres my question. How do you find visualisation works when imagining the places you want to visit. Do you find the places seem real, or are they a let down?
