      Lucid Dream Cylces?!? PLZ read

Hi my name is Brandon.. im new to this forum
iv just been really curious about one thing and was wanting to see what other people think and if they have the same thing

ive always been able to lucid dream from the time i remember even having dreams.. and it seems like i have periods of time where ill have a lot of strong vivid dreams and lucid dreams that i can easily remember.. and then periods of time where i can barely remember having dreams at all.. its always been this way.. some times ill go weeks or months straight with all kinds of vivid and lucid dreams.. and then ill go a couple weeks or months barely even able to recall my dreams.. kinda like some kind of dream cycle.. i dont understand why.. its not always the same amount of time in between.. it seems unbalanced in someway

was wanting to here what you think..
is there a way i can balance it out?! is it because im not synchronized with nature or some kind of pattern?! hahaha idk

I have the same thing,it may be a cycle for some people i just dont know for sure but for me its when i cut out crap like beer & spliffs, read books on phylosophy, dreaming or any other mentally theraputic books and get regular Early nights.
Then my dreams start off by being easier to remember,if the healthy routine continues my dreams become more vivid.Randomly i experience astral projection and sleep paralysis.
I believe theres a connection between conciousness in the daytime having a rollover effect into your dreams at night.

      cool thanks for the reply

see but the thing is, for me i still can have strong lucid dreams even tho i drink a lot... ive had nights of being soo faded i cant remember goin to sleep but i still remember my dreams pretty good.. but even when i go periods without drinking at all still go through cylces of barely being able to remember my dreams

smokin bud did seem to affect my dreams a lot if i went to sleep high.. but i quit smokin now and i still have problems with the cycles.. it seems to be off and on... sometimes ill have long periods of being able to have lucid dreams and short periods not being able to..and sometimes its the other way around...

though i think im really good when it comes to being lucid... i just figured the better i got with it the more ide be able to recall my dreams and have more lucid dreams consistantly

o and i wish i had random astral projections.. ive been tryin to for a while now and ive only had one real one and i had a few that i dont know what to consider them.. so i just say they are dreams of having an obe lol

lately ive been to scared to attempt an obe cuz recently i had an experience and got a glimpse of a spirit standing at my bed and it just felt scarry so i cancled everything lol.. idk.. ive just always been afrade of ghosts... i just gotta get over the fear so i can continue my adventures lol

Don't get me wrong because i'm relatively new to reading these forums etc but to me astral projection just sounds like sleep paraysis that turns into a OBE which i have had myself.. I managed to drag myself out of bed when in SP and was standing at the top of my stairs looking at myself in bed.

I then went downstairs and outside, once I got outside it was daytime which is why i know it must be a dream, not my astral body moving around the current real world?

It is a cycle that can last from a few weeks to months before the next.."open for business' cycle comes. If you'd notice the theme of the dreams also comes in cycles like you'd have the same recuring theme for nights.

yeah, the last sp dream i had was on chrstmas eve,i was on my stomach.i could hardly open my eyes,i thought i was at home(though i was staying at my aunties that night)i could just make out the position of the window which made me realise where i was,i felt a haevyweight on my back and a buzzing sensation on the back of my head,i dont fear these anymore, the feeling is overided by fascination.
Mawds[:,i know what u mean,sp and ap go hand in hand.
As for improving your dream cycle I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you get a book called"the seven gates of dreaming"my dad has read it and has practiced all 7 technuiques, the fist exercise that he told me about is:when u realize your dreaming look at your hands, youll be suprised at what happens, everytime ive done it ive allways dissapeared out of my current dreaming situation!the first time i done it i was dreaming about a girl i didnt fancy but she was pressuring me to have sex with her, then suddenly in my dream i realized i was dreaming and remembered the hand technuique,i looked at PALMS (very important) of my hands and i floated away into the sky like a baloon. This is the antidote for any nightmare.

hmm... thats veryy interesting...ill make sure to check out the book and try the hand thing.. i heard about rubbing your hands together to keep you in your dreams when your about to wake up but it seems to have a different affect on me.. instead when i rub my hands together i usually wake up in my bed with strong vibrations so i just try to induce an obe..

soo its very common for people to have these cycles then?!?! thats pretty weird.. i wonder why we have these cylces??! i wonder if it has to do with astrology or being out of sync with nature or something...

see ive had quite a few of these.. one with sp... and like four through just vibrations all of them i try leaving my body.. once im out things are way different then how it really is in my room.. but i dont seem to really notice until i wake up and think about what happened... they just seem like they turned into dreams... so i just consider them a dream simulation of an obe lol

I kinda want to get some SP again so I can try and pull out but i havent had any for a while.

I've only pulled out once and that was before I read into all this and realised that I wasnt alone.. the time it happened i was pretty freaked out, as i looked back into my room i remember thinking "wtf, how am i going to get back inside my body" and I'm not too keen on SP when you get them horrible loud noises in your head that nearly pop your ear drums!!
