      Turning sleep paralysis into dream

Well in my attempt to WILD last night, i ended up having sleep paralysis by suprise, becuase i didn't think it was going to work and then all of a sudden it happened, but it was very short and i could not turn that into a dream, and it faded quickly. So my question is, what are some ways to prolong the sleep paralysis and then go into the dream from there, becuase the WILD faq's dont really discuss it in that much depth.

My guess is that you were too awake/aware. Instead of trying as soon as you go to bed at night, wake up 4-6 hours after you initially fall asleep. You can do this by an internal clock(by way of autosuggestion) or alarm clock. You'll have more a chance at success when you're really tired. It will also help to try and move as little as possible.

To go from sleep paralysis to the dream, you're simply going to need to stay aware. You can do this by counting breaths, visualization techniques(climbing/descending stairs, climbing up/down a rope or ladder, etc.), or anchors. If you stay aware long enough, the dream will form.

      Good luck

Curious, your SP episode, what did you experience? In my case, when I go to bed, I've had small vibrations, numbness and heaviness, but, that wasn't SP, it was pre-SP and I wasn't able to get into SP at all, so, I'm wondering if you had the same case

Yeah, i went to bed for about 5 hours and then i did the WILD technique, and after about an hour i was barely awake, and then i just opened my eyes and my whole body was buzzing and vibrating hard, and i couldnt move at all, so I tried this one technique where you look at a spot 2 inches below your nose to stimulate a dream, it did nothing and i was out of the paralysis in less than 5 seconds.

It helps me to stay awake for as little time as possible when attempting WILDs. Usually only long enough to write some notes on previous dreams in my dream journal.

If you're trying to fall asleep, it might be a good idea to close your eyes. Perhaps you should try some visualization techniques instead of literally keeping your eyes open.

If at first you don't succeed... I'm still thinking you were too awake(you can solve that by not staying up for so long) and so slipped out of the paralysis phase.

Trying to move increases the chance of you falling out of SP, so try not to move at all.
I have suffered from SP for awhile now, and I am now able to recognize SP without the use of trying to move.

If you are too awake, your SP won't last very long =/ However, anyone is able to have multiple SP attacks during one night. I find that once I have been in SP once the second wave comes a lot faster.

The transition between SP and dreaming is really hard to explain, but I will try my best. You need to imagine yourself getting out of your bed, without actually moving your body. Once you have a visual image of you moving or something, you need to grab it. Focus you attention on lifting out of your bed and into a dream. Eventually the dream will form and you need to focus your attention on it. After the first couple, it defiantly gets easier.

I hope that helps. I am pretty new to this myself, but this is how I do it

I find the main way for me, once my body is relaxed is to focus on clearing my mind.
I tend not to pay much attention to HI and stuff, so it doesn't distract me.
Pretty soon after I feel the SP and get sit up in a FA.

Doesnt that make you have an OBE instead of an actual lucid dream, becuase the two are very different from what i hear

Sleep paralysis is usually a prelude to OBE, from my experience, but I'm not sure, since I haven't had as much experience with consciously inducing a lucid dream, if it is common to both experiences or not. I'm still reading threads and tutorials.

I do know that you can go into an astral projection from a lucid dream. Well, I did it once. Didn't try to repeat it.
