      Creating Sensations in Dream Theory

This is to do with dreams but doesn't have to be lucid. When i give up smoking pot for more than 2 days I start to have dreams about it and in these dreams I light up, and believe it or not for some strange reason I feel high as if I had smoked real weed. Is it possible in the REM state or that level of relaxation you can mimik certain feelings and sensations that your body would be use to? I currently can not LD often enough to check the theory out in an LD but if there are smoking LD'ers on here could you please give up for a few days then have an LD where you smoke a few bongs, I ask you to wait for a few days because you will then crave the drug phycologically more at the time.

      Thanks

yes. once you have smoke/ used a drug..your brainrecords a memory of the state. like any memory it can be accessed any time. usually through dreams/other drugs/intense meditation. I find when I go to the gym occasionally I get a complete Salvia flashback. I find in dreams though, drugs dont work for me =(

When I was more attached to being high, I would dream about it during dry spells, though it wasn't exactly like waking life. I don't smoke any more and rarely crave being high, so it doesn't show up much in dreams. I'm not even in half my dreams lately--they're like movies or stories about other characters.

It's definitely possible to summon versions of drug states when you're awake and sober, often versions that have advantages over the real thing. Between the hallucinogens and meditation I've experienced in the past, I have a pretty diverse array of conscious states available to me at any given time.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
