      Unhappy I attain lucidy but...

I wake up right as I realize my dream sign. I get excited all the sudden that I know this is a dream and that I can control it. So... how do I keep myself from waking up? From getting to excited?

I was being chased down a street (by what?) so I turned down an ally and had the sensation I was trudging through molasses, and all the sudden I realized that this only happened in dreams. I started to move faster then realized why not even faster so I was now driving a car and woke up seconds latter. Total lucidy is always only 5-10 seconds before I wake myself up.

Stabilize as quickly as possibile then relax as much as you can.. I find grabbing on to the nearest thing possible and examining every detail about it works the best.

If all else fails you could DEILD.
if you can read this then you are about to be punched

First few lucid dreams are hard to stabilize due to excitement. You probably won't have to worry about this issue by the time it's your third or fourth lucid dream; you'll be used to it.

Ive had this problem for a months. I think my issue is that I start to think, "oh this is a dream, that means I have a fake body..." and then in the back of my head I think about how I'm really just lying in bed and I become aware of my 'real' body real quick after that and just wake up.

There are many tricks to stay in dreams: you can concentrate and focusing something, relax yourself and hold something of the dream like a lampost or a ring. Little by little you'll be able to stay more time in LD's

It could help if you everytime you do a reality-check look at your hands, and then rub them after the RC.
That way you will programme yourself to do this almost automatically after RC'ing and thereby going lucid in your dreams.
