Hello all, I am new to this site yet not at all new to the topic of lucid dreaming.
I cannot say that I have had a lot of lucid dreams, however i have had a few that were memorable and it has spurred me to passively continue to analyze my dreams.
Something that I noticed was that whenever I used to meditate right before sleep, i would most likely be conscious in my dreams. I never really paid it the attention it deserved.
Now, being brought up in the US, I have found myself back in India for the summer and did not hesitate to take up any yoga/meditation classes. In these classes I have found the topic of gross, causal, and subtle bodies to be very interesting.
Apparently gross body is the physical, subtle the dreaming state, and causal the deep sleep state. Anyway not to get into the philosophy of it too much (you can check some of it out here http://www.swamij.com/levelsdimensions.htm).
Lucid Dreaming seems to be the art of attain consciousness during the dream state, or holding on to your physical body awareness while you sleep. This changes a lot of the perceptions of LD for me. What I am now actively trying to pursue is meditation right before I sleep to get me to awake during my dreams.
Any body recognize that meditation seems to help them attain lucidity more so than any of the other LD techniques like WILD?
