Lucid Letter

I found a site in my journeys tonight: www.spiritwatch.ca Don't let the name fool you. It contains back issues of a journal, Lucidity Letter, that seems to have been active between 1981 and 1991 with a pretty wide range of mostly (that I have thus far seen) academic articles on lucid dreaming. I mean everything from LaBerge to a Tibetan Lama. Most of the articles in the early issues seem to just be abstracts but even from reading an abstract, you can get the main result. Because it is such a huge resource to be exploited, I was thinking that we could do it together. If you find a cool article, then just post a link to it in this thread, maybe with a few thoughts and a brief description. Some of the topics may be OT for this particular sub-forum as they may pertain to lucid aids or BD but this seems to be the best place to bring it up. There is some pretty useless stuff such as academic infighting so It would be nice to have a condensed and filtered set of links to the good stuff even if an article or two is OT. One cool article that I have thus far found is: EXPERIMENTATION WITH THE VORTEX PHENOMENON IN LUCID DREAMS This phenomenon and various equivalents have been reported as an associated finding in a variety of situations such as near—death experiences, out—of—body experiences, artistic works, mystical experiences, drug— induced hallucinations (Siegal, 1977), epileptic and schizophrenic twilight states (Mayer—Gross, 1969), hostage hallucinations, hypnagogic and hynapompic hallucinations and dreams. He goes on to give three induction techniques. Pretty cool read.
