A drug for perfect visual memory

      An interesting read...

      http://io9.com/5306489/a-drug-that-c...-visual-memory

Who knows, this may translate well to recall and visualization within for lucid and non-lucid dreams alike?

Fascinating article. I'm interested to see where their research goes. Hope it's safe to use, I wouldn't mind have a super-visual memory Besides medical implications of taking it, he's also got a point with:

I can't see much of a downside for this potential drug, unless the act of not forgetting what you see causes problems or trauma.
That would be no good for nightmares and traumatizing events and bad SP hallucinations I wonder how often you have to take it to be effective, and how long the effects last? If you could just take it selectively during a WBTB or something that would be pretty damn awesome for recall!

Wow that's intriguing. It makes me wonder if in the future scientists will discover more things like this and there'll be a whole lot of safe and legal brain-enhancing drugs that everyone will take creating a 'super-human' race. It could get to the point where if you didn't take any drugs and remained a normal natural human then relative to the rest of the population you would be really dumb.

Certainly this drug would be like an evolutionary jump that would improve the overall intelligence of human beings. It would be interesting to see what the effects of that would be.

I take it people who have "photographic" memory have an abundance of this protein

That seems pretty sweet. I would definately use it, provided there are no negative effects.

I hope it's not a hoax or something. Life for students would be so much easier. No more stupid cramming just to memorize, just read over one single time and pass an exam brillinantly visualizing it
