      RL Sensation in Dream?

So last night I had a dream where my girlfriend's dad was showing me this spider out on the wilderness and it looked really neat. I put my hand out after him saying it was "harmless". It climbed onto my hand and I felt like it give me a small bite, so I shook the spider off of my hand. Not a moment later I felt a tingly buzzing sensation in the hand that got bit, and remember feeling heat as well. In the dream, thought it was the after effects of being bit by the spider and it lasted for a good time, even into another dream.
When I woke up, I noticed that same hand was under my pillow and it was dead asleep, buzzing and everything.

Has anyone had something similiar to this? Is there a name for this experience that happened to me? Thanks

Last night I when I was falling asleep I was half way in and out of consciousness when I got one of those dreams where you shake awake. It was the worst one I've EVER had. I was riding my motorcycle(I actually have one lol) and I hit another motorcycle in this half-dream and I woke up and I was as fully aware as I would be if it had actually happened. Your brain is a powerful thing.

Imagining spiders crawling on you while your trying to sleep IS as bad as actually having a spider crawl on you. I guarantee you can't tell the difference.

Yup, I've had the exact same thing. In my dream my cat was taking my hand in her mouth and biting down on it hard, over and over. When I woke up my hand was all tingly and numb. What most likely happened was that my hand fell asleep (painfully) IRL and so I began dreaming that my cat was biting it.

I don't think there is a specific name, its simply RL discomfort being translated into your dream...

Not sure about a name, but I have experienced these feelings.

They always occur when I'm entering a dream(lucidly) or reaching a dreams end. Basically any time I'm near wakefulness. It's strange that you'd have that sensation through multiple dreams without waking..

I once dreamed I was bitten on the hand by a spider, and sure enough when I woke up I really had been...
I've also been bitten on the butt by a spider while asleep. It made a terrible sore (not to mention itchy) place on my bum for 2 weeks. No more sleeping in thongs! Oh well.
The best experience with this phenomena however, was when I dreamed that Ricky Martin was lying on top of me. How nice! Only I woke up and discovered my cat had climbed on my chest. But my brain changed the cat to Ricky Martin... so I was pleased with that.

Yea, somtimes what happens outside the dream world can be incorporated into the dream. In this 1 dream I was floating above a waterfall, admiring it, and then I suddenly woke up because my mother was lightly spraying water on my face. (She wanted me to take out the trash).
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

      Real life: Suffocating
      Dream: Drowning

I woke up gasping for air. It sucked.

One time I had this dream that I was on the school bus throwing paper balls at people out the window. We came to a stop and I threw a crumpled up piece of paper at this guy in a trench coat. He opened his coat and there was a bomb with the timer at 0 and it was beeping. I woke up to my alarm clock beeping.

Fortunately, I am not a cat.

Face was buried in the pillow. Doesn't every really happen too often upon waking.
