it sure can! if you have a false awakening and happen to do a reality check and realize your dreaming, your lucid! |

"How can you be aware that you're dreaming, if you're never aware that you're awake?"
Thanks. I just didn't really know because i have had false awakenings before and they usually only last a couple of seconds. does that change if you realize your dreaming? It may just be me but i have never had one that lasted more than 30 seconds or so or less. That's when i didn't realize it was a dream though. |

i think youd have a better chance of it lasting longer if once you become lucid you just stabilize the dream and try not to get too excited. |

A false awakening IS just a regular dream. It's just a regular dream where the situation is that you are dreaming that you just woke up. Most likely you'll be in your bedroom or another place where it is common for you to sleep/wake up. There's no difference, at least that I have ever heard of, between this and other dreams. A problem with FAs is that you are in your room, so probably not by default somewhere more interesting. Other than that, yes, they can be full on amazing lucid dreams just like any other lucid dream. |
