Tip on how to stop dreaming

I know we had a topic on this earlier but I couldn't find it. =

So anyways does anyone here have some suggestions on how to stop dreaming nightly? Or at least stop recall, cause might have to do with rebound on the first one.

i don't think its possible to stop dreaming
But smoking alot of weed will definitely reduce noticeably your recall.

But why would someone like to stop dreaming?
Can you share? a recurring nightmare? existential issues? Aliens messing with your head?

sorry to sound rude or anything ''if i am dont take it personal please''

but the whole thing raped my iq..the topic the idea everything..now im not gonna bash you or anything..alow me to turn into nerd mode

okay you see that little thing between your ears yes.hehe well that thing ''NEEDS to dream at night it cant be easily switched off or not...you will dream till the rest of your life

ur brain goes through cycles every night..1 ,2 ,3 ,4 fourth one is the rapid eye movment it is which when ur dreaming it cant be avoided you will dream no matter what ..and who ever tells you they dont ever dream

please post thier address and country..ill have the courtsy to bash them with a street lamp my self

      HOWEVER
you can choose to ignore your dreams and train yourself to wake up in non-rem time which is the time 95% of your dream content is forgotten.

heres an experiemnt try staying up for 22 hours ''no sleeping'' or as long as you can ...then come post here and tell me what happens

try staying up more than twenty four hours ''27 thats how far i could go bare not sleeping'' and tell me what happens

u will start to feel sick ur immune system deteriorates over time ur muscles hurt ur eyelids feel swollen basically everything hurts u start dreaming while awake.. u may even black out if there no one to keep you awake..and basically when u go back to sleep ur body will make up for the time u hadnt slept..kinda like a big fat debt to pay..and i tell yah dreaming wont be avoideable then

But why would someone like to stop dreaming? [/b]
      baffles me ^^ [/b]

Yes I know that is is almost impossible to not dream, which is why I added the qualifying phrase afterwords that asked if anyone knew a way to repress recall and didn't bother to go back to delete what I orginally said. But thanks for the suggestion about that.

Oh in answer to that 'why do I want to stop dreaming' question. It's not me that wants to stop dreaming.

Take the blue pill and wake up in your bed, take this little piece of paper, and see how far the rabbit hole goes

Yea weed or alchohol will make you not have recall, does your wife/girlfriend or parents or something want you to stop thinking about LD because your crazy? My parents think that lucid dreaming is interlinked with the drug culture, so people who lucid dream are druggies. hehe rings true for me

well true weed alcohol do ruduce dreams..but its also not healthy u see what they do is shorten rem time ''rem is considerd a very vital process to the sleeping brain''..not only weed or alcohol reduces dream quality or dream recal but also nicotine and ciggies in general..i used to be a heafty smoker..and before that i used to have alot of dreams..but when i started smoking i stoped remmbering or usally remmber snipits sometimes even waking up every 5 hours ''during rem time'' to have a ciggie which was rapping my lungs but i quit cold turkey and never got back to them..now i noticed my dreams are all vivid

if u want to help someone stop having dream recal the healthy way..tell them to stop paying attention ''even when the dream is exciting..and try to set your alarm clock to when u usally are in non rem dream ''u can do this by calculating on when usally the rem period starts ..first rem starts after 70 mintues to when u closed ur eyes and it last 10 mintues..second i think the same and it stays for 15 mintues or even more..as u sleep more it becomes more lengthy sometimes to even 1 hour...

i wouldnt recomend Drugs or anything always avoid DRUGS!!

      hope this helps buddy

just try to avoid thinking of dreams or anything before going to sleep.
Thinking much about whats gonna happen, world problems or any other stuff before dreaming often causes me to "dream"=recall dreams.

      Gather your thought,clear your mind.
Althought maby some people will find this having an opposite effect.

But hey it works on me.

A good way to kill recall is to stay up till late, and be as stressed as hell. Oh, and if you can, wake up in the most abrupt way possible (mother hitting bed screaming, loud ass alarm clock)...

as most of us people work and goes to school I dont think the advice above is even to think about to use, if its not a emergency!

I think its a quite diffirent setting for all of us,my self I dont dream when Im relaxed and dont have much to think of. I have a big thing going on in life and I think alot about it,like a girl,I dream about her/it or what ever it is. Cleaned mind and gathered, but sure, try both of them.
