Convincing Myself I Remember my Dreams?

Okay, something's been happening to me lately and it's kind of weird. In the mornings when I wake up, or any time during the night at all, I think okay I have to record my dreams. But then I'm thinking, damn, I didn't have any dreams but really I did. For example this morning I woke up after my first dream thinking I had to record my dream but then I thought that I didn't remember dreaming at all so I decided to go back to bed when for some reason I started thinking about dragons then I realized I had just dreamed about them. Not only was it a little dream, like I remembered a very long and vivid dream. This has been happening allot lately and I'm afraid I'm going to lose allot of dreams this way. Why is this happening?

Did you wake up in the morning and do any RCs? Maybe you were still dreaming but i do not know your situation. I think i have the same thing or similar, I can dream alot in a night but remember slightly and during the day some events may trigger me to remember what i didnt even know i dreamt about eh.

Actually yes I did perform an RC haha. Unfortunately I was not dreaming... But what I mean is like I don't remember a thing then all of a sudden I remember everything at once. It was kind of scary because the dream seemed so long and vivid I could not understand how I could forget something like that. Even later that morning when I was in a car driving I just thought like wow I was just on a crazy epic adventure for what seemed like hours and I almost forgot all about it. When I did remember the dream I actually filled an entire lined piece of paper recording my dream. The previous night I had a certain kind of Herbal Tea which I have never tried before and I found out today it makes you sleepy so I took another cup just now and I'm about to go to bed so I will see in the morning how vivid my dream was. I'l get the name of the tea tomorrow.

Well i know i didnt help lol but i do understand what you mean, just try to overcome this keep your mind relaxed and dont try to hard to remember anything, i learned doing so screws up my dream recalls. Sometimes if you remember parts of your dream that you can actually see, or goto in RL, do so, it will jolt your remembering powers. The other day i had a dream about a teacher smoking a cig and giving me one, weird yea, but i didnt remember exactly what happen then my friend lit up a cig and BAM it all came to me.b

hmm that sounds like a good idea except for my dream happened to be on some tropical island... haha
