I've had that before. I've also had dreams with no visual, only sound (usually in the morning when struggling to keep focused and calm). |

Ever have dreams where it's like watching TV except the screen fills your entire field of vision and you have no body? I don't hear them mentioned often on the board (unless there's a term for them I don't know about), so I was wondering if they're very common. They are for me, I would say maybe about 10-20% of my dreams are of this type. In fact, I became lucid in one last night, but without a body I wasn't able to do much! It's sort of like being tied up and forced to watch a movie. Whenever I dream of playing video games/watching TV/being on the computer, the dream is almost always in this no-body, "full screen" format, as opposed to me sitting in a chair and doing those things. Is that unusual? |

I've had dreams like that and I also thought of them as Movie dreams... but my memories of them are really vague... |

In this game of life it's not who you are, not what you hope for, It's WHAT YOU TAKE!
Yeah....I am sure you were the one that inspired the production of that movie. Hollywood must have read your mind |

If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
And just where did I said that? |

I have dreams like that occasionaly, probably about 5% of the time. More often than not, though, when I'm just watching a scene unfold, it's like I'm just a bystander; I'm there, but not a part of the action. Sometimes, I'm looking through the eyes of one of the characters, but someone else is moving, not me. If you become lucid as a disembodied spirit, I imagine there are a number of things you could do. Posess someone, like Placebo said, or maybe something. Manifest yourself as a visible spirit, like the Jedi ghosts in Star Wars, and walk around messing with people. Or, remain disembodied and find an interesting conversation or activity to watch your dream characters in. |

Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.
