lol no, you misread what I wrote. It is my opinion nothing more nothing less.
If I do continue on this forum to share my experiences I believe I'll just be met with more jealousy and even resentment. And, it seems some don't read a whole thread and then make judgemental comments based on partial reading. For instance, I never said I was lucid every night and yet some have commented that they don't believe me that I'm lucid every night. Well, I never said that I was.
As far as control, I'm sorry that others haven't attained what I and I'm sure others have.
Yes, when I'm lucid I know I'm dreaming; that's being 'lucid' right?
When I know I'm dreaming I can control (it seems) anything I want. Why is that hard to believe? I don't look at this world the same way others do, and I realize that as I read these comments. Since I have an open mind and enjoy changing physics in dreams I don't limit myself in a dream.
For example, last night I was in LD and decided to take a character with me on a journey of changing physics. So, I picked them up and carried them with me as I flew and passed through walls. They passed thru with me. It was easy and fun. This while I took them on a tour of a old grand hotel that I decided to purchase and renovate.
At first while we would fly around the halls (why walk, it takes longer) I would open doors without touching them, but then I thought why not just go thru them since I'm dreaming and it would be less involved (easier).
Overall, it was an entertaining experience.
I guess the best way for some to understand me and the way I LD is to simply read these lyrics 'Pure Imagination' from Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley (written for the film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory):
Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of
Pure imagination
Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination
We'll begin
With a spin
Traveling in
The world of my creation
What we'll see
Will defy
Explanation
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world?
There's nothing
To it
There is no
Life I know
To compare with
Pure imagination
Living there
You'll be free
If you truly wish to be
Can I just interject in what I think is a very sad representation of the community here? I don't think I've ever once seen a natural LDer heckled so immaturely to the point where he/she wanted to leave. This is the third thread this morning that I've seen people that resorted to some kind of attack on the original poster. Grow up. I didn't see any arrogance, but merely interest, nor were any subsequent posts made by the OP arrogant. In fact he seems quite the opposite.
I am both envious and very happy for you that you're a natural. I know my brother is a natural, and I myself used to be able to control my dreams as a kid. I grew out of it (to my dismay, before I learned that I could really do something with it, like flying and such), but retained a lot of my dream recall.
I would hope that you would stay on the forums and participate more often. I'm sure there's a lot we could learn from your experiences. I'd be especially interested to hear more in-depth of what your dream night is like. How long it takes for you to get in to the dreams, how many dreams you have, how strong is the lucidity throughout, and any other things that might be interesting to the rest of us who are still quite limited. We have a lot of great information we could share, and perhaps you could find new and interesting ways to experience dreams! Don't leave. =P
I have to respectfully disagree. Between the constant editing and changing of posts, and the arrogant title of this thread, it is not strange to see this reaction. If the OP had done even a little bit of reading on this forum before making this ridiculous thread, he
might have chosen his words better.
Thanks you for this comment. If I share anymore I'll create a new thread or should I create a dream journal? Is that the place to put lucid dreams too? Or do you keep those separate? I just wonder if I'll cause people to think I'm bragging when I share my LD adventures or will most just take it for what it is, telling an adventure. But, maybe I could share ways that I go into LD and how I get rid of doubts and inabilities. I certainly haven't experienced what some have, like cloning yourself. I never thought of that.
I don't mean to beat a dead horse. Just responding to TheEnergy's post.
Noone will think you're bragging by telling your dreams. I think most would be fascinated. I'm curious in what ways you could push yourself in your dreams...ie cloning. You should have an easy time with the Lucid Task Of the Month.
Now let's bury this thread and move on.
I have to say that I don’t buy any of this “natural” stuff..
“Eddy”..
The “control” that you describe.. the things that you say that you can do in LDing..
..are just basic level.
Non-LDers can do the stuff that you describe.. in non-lucid dreaming.. I was doing such when I was a 5 year-old. It’s not difficult to do.
If.. as you say, you are doing this stuff in proper LDing, what makes you think that you are exerting “control”, as you put it? What you have described so far is child’s play, easy stuff.
I would say to you, go away and read EWOLD and The Art of Dreaming, and try the stuff outlined in said two books..
Then, come back by all means, and describe how you got on..
And then, maybe, you’ll admit that you don’t exert perfect control over the “dreamscape”..
And never have.
Over to you..
Just trying to respark the senseless, childish banter, Oneiro?
Yes, I do recommend you make yourself a dream journal on the forum, Eddy. Lucid Dreams and normal dreams are both fine to put in there. In fact, both are recommended. More so in your case, it allows people to see the transitions and changes in dream cycles to compare and contrast information. If I were you I'd probably just ignore this thread now if they want to keep up the nonsense.

I'm glad to hear it's as easy for you as it is for me, mere child's play as you put it. If I began to tell more experiences I'd be heckled even more, so I shall keep things to myself. It's unedifying and negative here. Goodbye.
Yep.. just as I thought. Just another bullshitter who doesn't have enough self-belief to counter criticism. Full of their own aggrandisement about their own abilities, which, as I stated earlier, was just the easy stuff.
So.. he runs away with his tail between his legs.
Now.. where have I seen that before? Oh yeah.. right here on this site. Hundreds of times before.
Bye "Eddy".
Wow. Just wow. Firstly, To all the people who don't believe Eddy, why are you still posting on this thread? Your ruining it for everybody else, and causing it to go off topic.
Secondly, I'm very interested in what Eddy is saying, I would like to see a dream journal, If he hasn't started one already. As a response to your original post, Imagine trying to see the world in 4 or 5 dimensions. It would be increadibly difficult, as you would have to unlearn all the limitations you have known for your entire life. I guess learning to control your LDs could by likened to an atheist learning to believe in god. Hope that was in some way helpful...
Just curious to see what would happen, ask to see your subconscious..
I don't understand why he was heckled. the simple fact is some people are better at LD's and have a propensity to become lucids. I guess everyone here is jealous or something I'd just take it as a compliment that shows simply how much people want your abilities.
I don't see why anybody Is doubting his abilities. He's not saying anything so outlandish. People on this site should be aware of the things he's talking about. I just don't get it.
you guys were way to harsh on him. It is extremely difficult for me to get lucid. but of the 5 times Ive been lucid, 4 of them I could do what came to my mind, minus traveling to a made up place. So, perhaps I am not a natural at getting there, but I am natural at control once Im in. Everyone has different experience, and with all the time hes had...what is the big deal?
i think i understood what Oneiro meant when he wrote -The “control” that you describe.. the things that you say that you can do in LDing..
..are just basic level. -
After 40 years(approximatively i guess) of lucid dreaming and even knowing that you could do this...are you still surprised that you can breathe underwater and walk through walls and push a door without touching it and fly fly fly??? I believe what you can do though. I'm a natural too but my dreams are not just about that... actually i think that we have a certain "role" in each of these dreams..I can't find words to explain that.
And yes it is possible to have lucid dreams everynight. I first discorvered DV when i found out what lucid dreaming was.. I was impressed that so many people could work lds out and just end up with doing whatever they want with practice. That's cool but i didn't start that way though. I lucid dream everynight yes. I just wake up all of a sudden and i'm somewhere... what i do sometimes when i get lucid is..well..i try to find the goal of the dream..if i don't get/can't find enough informations like.. where do i live, why am i in this store or who is that girl following me, i can't find the role i have in the dream and then i just start walking around and contemplate this dimension called "the DreamWorld" lol i've seen amazing things like most of yall have prolly did...if i'm too tired i just close my eyes and fall asleep thats how it is.. I have this kind of dream where the same scene repeats itself over and over and over again but with different scenarios..there's this one i call "The Race". We are in a HUGE shopping center. I'm there with 5 or 6 DCs and the first 4 or 5 times i "re-live" the scene, i only follow them i don't have any control on my body i can only follow them and watch. At a given time, that same scene begin again but now i have total control over my body and we race all over the place..we jump high, fly high, run at top speed(extreme speed)etc... I always remember the first kilometres but after a moment i lose them...and they just go they leave me behind lol but oh well ITS GREAT! Everytime i lose my way i tour the place and see effin weird things....Well actually that is just one of many sort of dreams i experience. To be able to lucid dream is a true gift.
I can't believe he left the site
So Eddy. Maybe to you Lucid Dreaming is mere entertainment, but I and many others see it as more than that.
You said that once, in your youth, you remember having barriers. Like most of us do.
I guess you could greatly help people who seek more frequent lucids and more dreamcontrol if you could perhaps explain a little of how you overcame those barriers you experienced in your youth? And how Lucid Dreaming became so easy to you?
I mean if you achieved unlimited acces to and mastery of the pleasure and joy of lucid Dreaming, why not try to help other, limited dreamers rise to your oh so high level?
Is everyone ignoring this? Surely this alone is enough to label the guy as a liar, the whole delusions of grandeur and all that.Quote:
I was invited to submit my experiences for a movie about dreams (from a mainstream director), but when it came down to getting paid for helping write the script the producer didn't want to pay what I felt the time was worth, but would give me credit in the film's credits. I don't care about seeing my name in a film. What I cared about was compensation and it wasn't enough.
The thread is basically called 'I can do everything, why can't you, IT'S EASY you moron'.
The guy WAS arrogant with his title thread, and never stopped being arrogant; indirectly AND directly calling everyone who thinks/knows he was being arrogant closed minded and all that.
You see, we were too STUPID to realise he wasn't being arrogant!Quote:
While others only could see what their mind was telling them was arrogant, you looked deep and answered wisely.
He also goes on to repeatedly label himself as openminded, creative, optimistic n all that, clearly indicating that if you don't have the control he claims to, you arent openminded, creative, optimistic or any of that.
See that's where we're all going wrong, we're placing limits on ourselves! We have to learn to be as free spirited as this guy, he should be the shining beacon of hope to all of humanity. LEAD US, O GREAT SHINY ONE!Quote:
I guess I don't place limits on myself while I'm awake and that comes out in my dreams. I have a lot of hope and an optimistic person.
So perfect control, lucid dreaming since childhood, perfect 19 years of happy marriage still finding his wife stunningly attractive, experienced negative G, been approached by at least one mainstream film director, creative, optimistic, free spirited, blah blah blah, and then leaves when criticised JUSTIFIABLY for being a complete ass.
I'm not saying I don't believe this guy, it's completely plausible that all of this is true. For the record I don't believe him though. And he's arrogant. There's no two ways about it.
At the end of the day I think the best point brought up by some of the critics/skeptics is that so often, the people who say they can do anything NEVER have any advice, they never say how they did it or got to that point. It's very annoying and I've seen it done before on another forum where I flat out asked the guy for advice who was bragging big time. He had nothing, just more bragging. It truly is a red flag.
I tried to explain my theory on why he thought he could do anything, it's his worldview basically. It doesn't make him a liar. But flying through solid objects does not mean you can do anything.
Also, I have read parts of several dream journals on here and yet to come across a journal of someone who can do anything they want anyway. Is there one?
Skepticism is a good thing, so is criticism, he really should have handled the criticism better. Coming to a forum like this and slowly learning that you aren't that mind-blowing of a dreamer can be a tough pill to swallow, I know, I had to also.
Yeah, well the guy's a douche. I was trying to be civil and give him the benefit of the doubt. The problem with being a douche is that, no matter how well you try and craft your words, or how many times you edit and change your posts, you still come off as a douche. It's like trying to hide garlic smell with mouthwash. Never works.
