      Headaches?

Has anybody had any experience losing the ability to dream recall while suffering from severe headaches? (well its a toothache but still...)

Couple of days ago I started getting really bad head/toothache and I seem to be unable to recall a dream (maybe because soon as I wake up im thinking owweee?) ... managed 1 dream the first night. I know i had at least 3 dreams the 2nd night I just couldnt recall them..... headaches seem to make me wake up so I guess its a good opportunity to write them down.... but I cant :/

And theres next to no chance of trying something like WBTB/HILD, cant concentrate on anything else

      Anyone had anything similar?

      Damn wheres my dentist

I moved recently, and between the new bed and the new chair at the computer, I've had to endure many a headache lately. Definitely puts a damper on the dreaming. I haven't put but 5 or 6 entries in the dream journal for all of December. It negates the effects I'd hoped to get from being in a new place & altering the routines.

Do you grind your teeth while you sleep? With the combination of headache/toothache, it seems that that could be a possibility. I'm not sure of a way you could tell if you do besides having someone in the room while you sleep. I find that when I'm awake and in a very bad mood, I'll grind my teeth or at least clench my jaws and that can start to give me a headache. Have your dreams (that you can recall) been stressful? Have you been stressed out lately that might be attributed to it? If you do grind your teeth or clench your jaws, you could try wearing a mouth-guard to sleep. Other than that, I'm not entirely sure what it would be.

      clench my jaw alot

so possible i do while i sleep, feeling ill went mad last night i was freezing while laid in bed with a jumper / coat / duvet on, felt freezing tho, even wondered if i was dreaming and checked (wasnt btw)

But after waking up this morning in a full coat and the duvet was on the floor, feel a bit better but i did actually remember my dream last night, and my teeth didnt ache in the morning.....

Wonder if it does cause a distraction then as soon as i wake with tooth ache, and stops me from recalling..

Ah well, cant wait to see the dentist
