      My subconscious is to good

I got a tape recorder like 3 days ago so I could use that for my dream journal. Well since then I have had 4 false awakenings(one yesterday, 3 today), in all of them I used the tape recorder to record the dream I had just had. I totally forgot the dream I had the first two times it happened, and over half the dream the second two times.

Maybe I should start doing RC's each time I look at the tape recorder, because thats just crazy.

Tape recorders are nice, but there is nothing better for recall than to type or write the dreams down. Perhaps you shold look use the recorder to take brief notes for you to write up later, because that way, even if you do forget your dreams, you can listen then that will trgger memory.

It indeed is a good idea to do a reality check whenever you see your recorder though.

Next time, try playing the tape in your dream to see if you can hear what you recorded last time you had a FA.

Is it one of those voice-activated jobbers? Even though it's a FA, you might be talking out loud.

It did it again this morning, only once though. I didn't get it because I thought it was better for recall though, just easier. Can do it while laying in bed, plus you don't have to worry about bad hand writing because your half asleep still heh.

Personally, I think written jounals are better for ppl who are visual learners (like myself) and often when I start writing, details of my dreams that I'd forgotten come to mind. Tape recorders could be better for auditory learners. That's just my personal opinion.
