      Recall Dream vs Lucid Dream

Hi, going to make this really quick. Which one do you guys think is easier to recall, A ordinary dream or a Lucid dream?
I personally never had a Lucid dream yet, but I'd say if you have a lucid dream it will be easier to recall. I say that because to me a lucid dream is like your actually there just like a moment in real life. So now we can compare like which one is easier to recall a dream or a moment in reality? Did it make sense what I just said? :S

Well anyways what do you guys think... which one is easier to recall a ordinary dream vs a Lucid dream?

Question is a bit random since we have way more regular dreams than lucid.

Even so, things are easily remembered if you were aware of it. How many times have you noticed you were going to do something but ended up forgetting what you were going to do. And how many of those times were you on auto-pilot.

In a lucid dream, if you are aware that you are dreaming, it should make it easier to remember.

However it is possible to still forget lucid dreams. I almost did once but I do think they are easier to remember.

Edit: In terms of frequency, definetly regular dreams since I have those way more.

I disagree with your reasoning that you are not 'there' in non-lucid dreams. They happen, at least with me, just as they do in lucid dreams, in the 'real-time', as-it-happens sort of way. The only difference between the two is the simple fact that in the lucid, you realize that the things around you are dreams.

      In both cases it depends.

Well I didn't mean to say that all non-lucids are like that. What I meant to say was that a lot of dreams (atleast for me) are easily remembered if something stood out about them. Like if you had a dream that you were on a really nice vivid beach, it is likely to get your attention and you remember it easier whereas if you dream abuot something small that happened during the day, not likely to get your attention and therefor they end up becoming more difficult to remember.

In addition, if it got your attention, you are also likely to wake up thinking about the dream "wow that was really nice". In my opinion, I think a good reason why lucids are easily recalled is because you put a lot of attention toward that dream.

So in a way, I guess you're right. You don't have to be lucidly dreaming to be "there" but I think the quality of your dreaming and your way of thinking within the dream has a role in recall. But that's just my opinion.
