      Lucid dream or OBE?

Lately I've been dreaming of waking up from sleep and the walking around my room, often looking at myself in the mirror and trying to turn on the light switch, which of course isn't working, and doing all other kinds of reality checks. Once I know I'm lucid, the fun begins I'm usually very happy and excited about being lucid and have very good control of my dreams. But last night, something weird happened. After having sleep paralysis for a long time and finally WILDing, I got up from the bed and saw myself on the bed, sleeping. Then I looked I checked the light switch and it didn't work. At that moment I knew I was dreaming, so, in fact, it was a LD, but the feeling that I left my physical body in the bed made me believe that this was some kind of OBE. How can I tell the difference?

it's still a false awakening (lucid dream).

if you were really a spirit or something not only would the light switch not work but you won't even be able to flip it in the first place. I have had many false awakenings and always notice that my room has strange details (things are of different colors, new gadgets, power outlets on the ceiling, etc)- when you looked at your bed you expected to see yourself there (perhaps subconsiously, or indeed were just interested what you'd see) so your subconsciousness put a "clone/repersentation of yourself " there.

the only way I'll ever believe in OBE's if while in the lucid dream some stuff will happen that I'll later confirm happened while I was asleep. Usually "OBE" is assigned to false awakenings by people less familiar with lucid dreaming.

Thank you for your reply. I guess you're right, this felt like a dream after all.

You can't . The OBE and LD look different , but aren't . These are two names for a unic experience . Why ?

The Human Being is double :

1 . A physical , a so - called real body , day to day body , whic houses the mind

2 . A energetic one , in which shift your awareness at night or through training .

      Why ? I both experiences , you experience vibrations , tingling s.a.m.d

From my research , those FA , are in fact , Real Awakenings in a real world , energetically different from ours .

Thank you for listening me .

      About my research :

Each day , whem I go to sleep , I use all the LD known methods . First , before I go to bed , I practice the Castaneda's Dream Passes Serie , then , until I fall asleep , i intend to sleep , by stopping my internal dialog and focusing my mind on what I want to accomplish , only . Then , I use WBTB , waking one hour before I normally wake - up . When I wake up , I wake up little by little , to not destroy the dreams . In the rest of the day , I stop my internal dialog , I do recapitulation to retake my lost energy , I do , before that NEW and , each time I go through a door or I see the lights button , I made a reality check .

      1 . Recapitulation

      2 . The Dream Passes

      3 . Intending

      4 . WBTB

This training is , for me , deadly useful , BUT , MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU . When I am in a dream , I act like in Real Life .

I do not take the dreams as dreams . They are , at least for me , are reality , because I see their underlying energy matrix .

I must warn you , that is a warrior -only path .

If you want to extend your knowledge about warrior path , you should read all Castaneda's , Taisha Abelar and Florinda Donner - Grau 's books .

If you want clarifications , just ask me .

Rorio Tamalane now I am really confused. I read your original post again-

You can't . The OBE and LD look different , but aren't
so your stance is that OBE's and LD's are the same thing- with this I agree 100% - OBE's are what the uninformed call LD's/FA's.

      however

From my research , those FA , are in fact , Real Awakenings in a real world , energetically different from ours .
this sort of confused me- you consider FA's actual awakenings in like a different/parallel world ? this is the only part I disagree with- I've dozens upon dozens of FA's, sometimes 6-7 in a row- yeah they are different from 'normal' dreams but sometimes you can turn them into nice long normal dreams. Don't perceive FA's to be more than they are.
