Easy way to LD and OBE

I went to bed at 12:30. I woke up at 7 and remembered a small dream. I then put on a lucid dream or OBE timer that goes of at different intervals. You can find it here: http://www.lucidology.com/timer/ . What it does is it beeps every couple of minutes and what your supposed to do is try to fall asleep. Eventually your body will be expecting another beep so it wakes your mind up but the beeps come at an increasing intervals so you just randomly become lucid. It worked the first time i tried it. Use with WBTB at around 4 hours after you went to sleep. WHEN YOU GET WOKEN UP BY THE BEEP DONT MOVE AT ALL, SP KICKS IN AND WILDS BECOME VERY EASY.

Thanks for sharing that. I found that timer a long time ago, didn't really know what it was for though. Thank you for telling me how to use it )

      WOW. Seems a nice idea.

I downloaded it and put it on my mp3 player. I think i'll give it a try. Which one of the ramp files do you use?

Doesn't the constant beep awake you up while already in a lucid dream as it goes off from time to time? Anyway even if it wakes me up i might be able to do another WILD attempt so this seems interesting because even if i don't WILD i can get even more familiar with the SP and HH.

      Thanks for sharing.

What it does is put you in a deep trance all the waking and sleeping and eventually you just wake up from the beep and get SP in 10 or 15 seconds its really cool. I think that this is the easiest way to get spontaneous LD and OBE's.
Also check out lucidology 101. The videos really helped me start.

      Tried it tonight.

I put the phones on and turned to my side like i usually do when sleeping. I waited for about 20 minutes but the fact that i was hearing a beep and had a phone on my ear couldn't let me sleep. So, i just took it out and went to sleep as usually.

What happened was that, later on that night, without even trying, i had 3 spontaneous SP episodes which was odd. I haven't adapted to the transition yet so i didn't have an efficient WILD but i don't know if these episodes were related to me using the mp3 before.

Anyway, i might try this again some other time as i never had so many SP episodes in one night before and my late attempts had been frustated.

The reason that you got so many random SP's is because your mind woke up because it thought that there was going to be another beep. Thats the hole point.

Interesting. I think there's one on another site that you don't have to download.

I see. So, you don't have to keep the phones on even while you sleep then.

I tought from your description that what would happen would be that you would fall asleep and when you hear the beep again you would awake up. Then, while staying still you would enter SP and WILD.

Anyway, both ways seem to work so it is a nice method indeed =D.

Well, I had an LD last night, but it wasn't from the timer. When it came for the timer to go off, it basically just annoyed me and I couldn't really go back to sleep. I'm going to try it again tonight, though.

I'd be careful with this lucidology 101. If it helps you, great, but realize that it's really just a scam to get you to buy lucidology 102. There's a whole thread around here somewhere, I'll try to find it later.

Tried the timer again, and it just kept me awake. I think I'm all set with that lol.

And to the post(s) above, I figured it was something like that. The PDF really pushes it.

So does this method not require any mental prep like reality checks and a dream journal?

it seems like this is like cheating at lucid dreaming. Part of it for me is learning to do something at will and having more control over my body.
I wouldn't recommend these devises unless the person has tried for a while and had no success.
