      Imagine a place where...

I've got a great idea. It's very likely that this what I'm going to say can't be done.
      So, here it goes!
Imagine there is a place inside your dream where lucid dreamers could meet. Somebody here who is more creative than me could describe that place in details. I was thinking of something like Rivendell in the Lord Of The Rings. To go back to my idea, every night in your lucid dreams you should try and go to that place. If at least 10 of you go there in the same time in your dreams maybe there's a chance that you will meet. Make it a kind of experiment. Why don't you make this the assignment of January. Imagine that it works it would be like a whole new dimension of lucid dreaming. We could not only share experiences here on Dreamviews.com we could share them in our dreams. What do you say? Could we try?

Sounds more like Robert Jordan, it has a big place later on in his Wheel of Time series.

      Dream Walking

The ability to walk inside Tel'aran'riod (The Dream World). If you are hurt in Tel'aran'riod, you remain hurt when you awake.[/b]
If it actually worked indeed what would happen if someone hurt someone else since it would be a real person doing the bad things to you instead of some imaginary monster. Think it would be very hard to keep that place solid enough too, but if you actually found a stable place where you feel secure in and it is always the same would be a good thing. Would be much easier to have that base while trying to experiment while lucid.

When I think about it, Robert Jordan must be a lucid dreamer too, or has read extensively about it.

I suggested an experiment be started concerning shared dreams in the research team forum a little while ago. Since poeple have had shared dreams before I believe it to be possible for the shared dream to also be lucid. I'm just waiting until I improove my personal lucidity before I figure head this project. I'd really like to see it truly tried and tested. If it doesn't work what do we lose? A few lucid dreams. But if it does work, there's endless possibilities.

How would you go about testing something like that? It seems like it'd be hard to get two DV members together in a dream, let alone 10. And where would you find a good meeting place? I'm intrigued. Let me know about the results of the research!

      The elemental gates.

This is just a place in my dreams that supposedly connects all dreams, I've never been there, but people in there talk about it all the time.

I know what you mean! I read the books ages ago, but when I first found out about lucid dreaming etc I thought... hey that's what was in those Robert Jordan books!

I've still got alot to research about shared dreams before I can formulate an opinion on it all, but it sounds like a great idea. What I love about this site is that everybody activley researches more information and techniques - I love this place!

The easiest way I think to test sheared dreams would be to organize people who lucid dream and live close together (i.e. couples, friends, relatives) and know eachother well to try shared dreaming on a regular basis and write down their results seperately and then comparing them to see if they get any similarities.
