Yes there is. The pioneer of modern-day lucid dreaming, Stephen LaBerge (among others), has conducted scientific experiments proving the existence of lucid dreams. One of them included hooking a device up to his face to measure his eye movement. When he became lucid he was able to move his eyes in a pre-arranged manner while he was in the REM stage, showing that he was lucid and had control over his dream environment. There's other methods to measure it which are listed in various places on this site. Not to mention, the sheer number of people who testify to having had lucid dreams, such as myself. |
