      Are lucid Dreams scientific?

Is there any serious physiologic, scientific study documenting and supporting lucid dreams?

      Thanks

Yes there is. The pioneer of modern-day lucid dreaming, Stephen LaBerge (among others), has conducted scientific experiments proving the existence of lucid dreams. One of them included hooking a device up to his face to measure his eye movement. When he became lucid he was able to move his eyes in a pre-arranged manner while he was in the REM stage, showing that he was lucid and had control over his dream environment. There's other methods to measure it which are listed in various places on this site. Not to mention, the sheer number of people who testify to having had lucid dreams, such as myself.

I hope that was helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions

not only is there stephen laberges eye moving experiment, but there is also a way to measure the chemical balance in something called the pons system which shows whether you're concious or dreaming, the chemical balance goes to one side while dreaming and the other while concious. When you become Lucid you throw the balance off, so that the chemicals are saying that your awake, which mentally you are, but the rest of you is still asleep.
