ability? or skill?

Now ive been ponering this. Can Lucid dreaming be a learned & masterable skill? Or is it an ability u either have to some extent or dont?

Yeh i agree with wasup, anyone can learn to lucid dream, and with enough efort do great things. Although, i would put a little part of LD's to ability, as some people have lots regurarly with little effort, and others little with lots of effort. There was a thread once that people talked about LD's being an inherited gene/ability type thing, i got pissed off as it was basically saying, well if your having trouble having LD's now, you may as well give up as you didn't the gene/ability passed down. In a nutshell, a bit of both. Anyone can be an LD master.

It's a creative skill like playing the piano. You can either pick it up naturally, or you may have to work at it for a number of years/decades, but it's most certainly able to be mastered by anyone.

I play piano and lucid dream. muhaha... seriously though, I believe it is just like any other skill. Anyone can learn it, and some people have it natural, but if you practice hard though, you can be better than the person who has it naturally and doesn't practice.
