      Semi-Lucidity and Laziness

Last night I had a very interesting DEILD. In this DEILD, I was fairly aware I was dreaming, but i just sat back and followed the dream, enjoying the scenery, etc. etc. etc. The bad part is that this dream was well over 20 minutes, and I had a lucid dream before this I hardly remember. Has anyone else experienced this "Passive" or "Lazy" type of lucid dream? The best analogy I have for it is roleplaying. In a roleplay, you control your character, but you still follow the rules.

i had a lot of DEILDs evin b4 i knew about LDs,tho my mind was really asleep,it was like some blank part of my personality was doing it,so every time i had a simular LD to yours my mind was learning trough trial and error, without consulting me

so every time it made a mistake last time,it didn't make it twice and was prepared

i mean it really pisses me of to be lucid but non-lucid at the same time, anywayz the dreams are fun

I do this alot, actually. If I'm really enjoying the dream plot I just became lucid in, I generally want to ride the wave. The bonus is, I get to control the things my "character" does (I dream in first person anyways, so I am my character... but I get to introduce abilities I might not have had, had I not been lucid).

I don't call it lazy though, I call it good times! I actually like these LD's the best.

The plot in this dream was rather... Blah. I don't remember much, except for playing golf. I really wish I would have tried to fly.

I actually had a "lazy" lucid dream earlier today! I was drunk the night before, woke up early at my buddies house, went home and ate, then went back to sleep with the tv on. Anyway, I felt as though I entered my dream without losing my train of thought, like my thoughts gradually became my dream. So I entered in a very lucid state and I made the environment and situation that I wanted. After a while I started to command less control of the dream and i was lazy and let it take it's course. Only until my girlfriend was being heckled by a group of men did I take control back and kick some ass haha. So things were good, and I started to just enjoy things again, until I completely lost control and forgot I was dreaming =(
