Studying LDing = Less Dream Recall Recently :(

It seems I had outstanding dream recall before I really started buckling down and studying lucid dreaming.

Before I subscribed to this website I was recalling 2-3 dreams every night, sometimes as many as 4-5 a night.

Recently however, it's seems to be the opposite. I might recall 1 dream every other night if that. It's been 2 days now I haven't recalled ANY!

I haven't changed anything in my life recently other than just becoming more serious with trying to obtain a lucid dream. I do RC's..set intentions before bed..am routinely practicing DIELD's & WILD's. I've even dug up my REM-Dreamer I purchased about a year ago.

What do you think could be causing this? Anything I should do to try and fix it?

Every night I get very excited and hopeful that this night could be my night for a LD. Sometimes it's hard to fall asleep because I'm thinking about it so much. I use my iPod and listen to Theta Binaural beats which help me to sleep some nights when it's too much.

I'm thinking about taking a break from it all? Think that would have any effect? I hate to do this though as it's sort of been a fun hobby that I get to practice everynight.

      Thanks in advance

Usually when people/me take a break for a bit it all comes back. I think your main problem though is just getting overly excited. I think that's what is blocking you from having a lucid dream and or recalling dreams in general. I'd just take it easy, but have the though of lucid dreaming in the back of your head. But keep doing reality checks ect. Just mainly stay relitively calm around 2 hours before bed.

      Good luck!
