      Binaural Beats

Does anyone here use Binaural Beats? I tried looking at the existing threads, but no one seemed to have any success. I, on the other hand, have been using beats successfully for quite a while now. I don't always achieve a lucid dream, but I always get something, even if it's just strong feelings of relaxation or a minor hallucination. The beats I tend to use these days are from the iPod Touch apps Get High Now, Brainwave Altered States, and Brainwave Entrainment. Does anyone have any advice to help me on my Binaural quest? Oh, and if anyone wants, I'll give links to the beats I use. The best ones, Brainwave Entrainment, are $5, but Get High Now is only $.99, and has a lot of content besides beats. Sorry if I sound like an advertisement, I'm not trying to!

They've never done anything for me. I remember using "Hand of God" from iDoser and being terribly disappointed at not flipping my shit. I've also tried the "lucid dreaming" one, which, in a few isolated cases, gave me very vivid dreams. However, sitting still and listening to the noise for 25 minutes is very bothersome.

Thought about using them but I don't want to rely too heavily on lucid aids too much, trying to learn things at my own pace.

The ones I use seem to have the twin effects of making me fall asleep more quickly and of causing a lot of hypnagogic effects as I'm falling asleep. I basically use them to do a V-WILD, in your terms.

      That.

Whatever you do, NEVER pay for them. You can make your own for free using Audacity and incorporate all your own tunes (which, incidentally, can be nabbed from Youtube in a semi-legal fashion. It's a gray area...). I can post a tutorial if you like...but I can tell you, all binaurals operate on the same exact principle, and the qualities don't differ.

Truth be told, isochronic tones are more powerful anyway. Not much is known about them, but they're even easier to make than binaurals. As they are still relatively new, it can be tricky to find information, but dozens of free downloads are already available (just run a Google search). Also, you might want to check out this thread.

      Hope that helped.

I used binaural beats for a while.
Sometimes I noticed strange feelings. However I never had an Ld because of it.
I remember one time I realy fell asleep, it did hurt. I have this also when I drink to much coffee.
It can't hurt to experiment with it, should be great when you find a frequency wich will give you Ld's each time.
Longterm Goal: Be a master of my dreams
Midterm Goal: Stay motivated in LD-ing
Shortterm goal: Stay lucid for a long time
