      Waking up when excited

      tell me something, why do we tend to wake up when in a LD we become excited? for me it does not make any sense. I know a lot of people that become extremely excited while non-lucid and the dream doesn't end.
      Could you answer that ? I investigated about this, but...nop, didn't found something.

      The conscious mind processes things differently I'd think. When non-lucid, that excitement is part of the dream. Otherwise its more of a wake up call. I've noticed the feeling of excitement that wakes me up has a strikingly eerie similarity to the feeling of a hypnic jerk, which is often noted as the falling sensation and sudden jolt.
