      Meditation and LDs

Not sure if it was related, but last night I fell into a deep meditative state for the first time. I have tried to meditate before, but never actually felt it like I did last night. I thought I was falling asleep, but my mind was really just clear of everything. It was awesome. Then I went to sleep feeling better, and ended up having TWO lucid dreams! I have only had one before, and then last night I had two experiences! I don't know if it was related to the meditation, but it seems likely. Anyone have thoughts/input on this?

While I've never felt before that a specific meditation session yielded lucid dreams that night, I definitely find that when I'm meditating regularly, lucid dreams are much more frequent. Mindfulness meditation in particular is essentially a constant, ongoing reality check, and if you become accustomed to seeing through the nature of the waking world, it only makes sense that the habit will assert itself in dreams as well.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Meditation will slow your brainwaves into a deep theta range and sometimes into the delta range, where dreams and immense creativity abound. After a meditation session your body is already in a relaxed enough state to easily slip into these lower-wave states, hence a much better chance of lucid dreaming. Just my thoughts!

I've tried meditation but I've not had that much luck, but if it helps to have lucid dreams I have to try it again.
