      So more QQing

So I've been trying to LD for more than 6 months now. I've had peaks and downs, but lately, its been just downs.

My dream recall is pretty amazing, without even trying that hard.

Even though there's been a few peaks in the past, I feel myself getting really demotivated lately, and wondering if I can even achieve lucidity. Maybe I'm that one person that CAN'T ld?

I even bought ETWOLD and stuff to help me do it, but I'm close to despair.

I use MILD, sometimes I try to WBTB/WILD as well, I'd put my alarm clock after some REM cycles I figured out, but sometimes it would just not wake me up -__-

ok, but, can you be more detailed?
how do you do MILD? how many times?
      what else do you do?
BTW, I'm trying to LD since 1 year, ..because I never kept a steady schedule....

I feel your pain. I spent 3 weeks with no lucids. It hurt. As a result, I became demotivated, started to lose my ability to control lucids, and began to get poor recall. Then recently its just come back!
Maybe you should take a break, or just focus on documenting and enjoying normal dreams for now.

One of my first strategies I ever used (about five years ago) was rewarding/punishing myself if I did/didn't experience a lucid dream. It was very progressive, especially if my reward was my favorite snack (Skittles for me, at the time). Try it out sometime.

It's been over a year for me without a full lucid dream. Other people have gone for 3 years. Just relax, focus your efforts.

I think the body is highly sensitive, goes through cycles, etc. If your diet changes even just a tiny little bit, it could affect how you sleep and how you dream. Same with exercise, any drugs you may take (even if it's just a mild tea here and there), your routines, stress and anxiety, there are so many factors.

So, my suggestion is to keep tabs on as many factors that could be affecting your mind in subtle ways as you can think of, change them around slightly and see what happens, and record your results. You might start noticing patterns.
