      Can't dream and chew gum

A few days ago I had a dream and in this dream I was chewing some gum. But all through out my dream I kept trying to swallow it, but my mind told me not to and I started to gag. This went on for some time, chewing then gaging, chewing then gaging. I finally woke up and thought it was still in my throat. Once I realized I wasn't chewing any gum, I drifted back into my dream.

So why am I telling you all this? I'm not sure, but it scared the crap out of me when I woke up. What are your thoughts?

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.

Do you chew gum in the waking world? I dont know why that could make a difference! but i might as well through out some questions...
What brand of gum was it? how big was the piece of gum, etc?
or did you already have it in your mouth, before you know anything?

As a matter of fact, yes. That day I had bought some gum for my little sister and she gave me a piece. It was some kind of bubble gum, I don't remember the name. It was a big piece too, it was square and smelled really good! For the first few seconds of chewing it, the gum seemed to fall apart like a piece of chocolate or something. After a while it got harder so I could blow bubbles with it. I remember almost swallowing it and gaging. So actually, this all makes sence! The only thing that's odd about it is that this went on for a while in my dream when in reality, it only happened once. But then again, that makes sence too. The fact that it was so terrifying, it must have stayed in my mind all day and when I was dreaming, that memory was still there, thus I dreamt about it.
