      dogs, wrists and filters

So I've had no dreams whatsoever (that i remember) since i was about 7. Before then I had several reoccuring nightmares that were pretty horriffic for a little girl. If you want details I'll be happy to post them. Anyway suddenly over the last day or so I've had a flood of prety bad nightmares, the kind of wake up out of breath and talking in desperation during sleep kinda thing. I've had trouble sleeping before now but these nightmares have made it worse and i am really curious about them, so I'm posting the three that have most intrigued me of late (all of which have been today and last night):

      Nightmare 1:
It was more like I'd slipped into another world than a dream, I knew it wasn't reality, but I was sorta half way asleep feeling and I couldn't quite open my eyes like i had them shut almost all te way so i could only really see a sliver of light, but there was no light in the room to speak of, I got up trying to keep my eyes more open just thinking i was tired and fine and i could really feel my eyes forcing themselves to stay as shut as possible. I got downstairs with no problems at all and put on my xbox360 headset and was playing although i couldn't see the TV, or the table, or anything else in the room i was playing in. After about five minutes i noted the wire was a little tangled so i went to take off the headset and as i was taking it off it snapped and it caught my eyelid, cutting a hole in the side of my eyelid I could feel pain but it was kind of like i was drunk or something and i wasn't 100% aware of the pain, the headset was sort of caught on my head and i pulled it and it ripped my eyelid more and i unhooked it from my eyelid quite calmly. I then thought "wait shouldn't I check if I'm bleeding" and slowly raised my arm sort of slow motion (like everything in this dream was tired and slow but it didn't seem to matter to me until this happened) and touched my eyelid gently and saw a lot of blood on my fingertips and the amount i could see was getting smaller and more obscured and i was trying frantically to keep my eyes from sealing shut but my eyelids just felt like lead weights, could barely feel the pain though. When I'd seen the blood on my fingers I just about managed to open my eyes and I woke up and sat bolt upright and checked my fingers and eyelid for blood.

      Nightmare 2:
This one isn't so nightmareish more just unpleasant. Again my eyelids were very heavy and I could not work out what was going on exactly and I was a little confused but seemed to go with it. I was on an exchange trip to a German family, for some reason (I'm not sure if thats where I was in the last dream but I'm pretty sure I was just at home, but there was a packed red suitcase in my bedroom which i forgot to mention, apart from that, details were all blurred and faded out or too dark to see). I was in this family's house and there was no Dad to be seen, I was lying on a sofa with the girl in the family (I don't know if this is to do with the fact I'm bisexual or not, it felt more like a comfort thing than anything sexual and I'm in a commited relationship currently with a man) and anyway, we were lying on the sofa side by side and occassionally stroke each others hair or laughing, i'm not sure what at i couldn't make out her face, she was speaking perfect english but her accent kept changing from english to german and back, she was the girl i was on the exchange with. Things sort of died down and we both sorta stopped talking and the lights got dimmer and my eyes started shutting up again like in the first dream and she just got up and left into a dark void down a hallway and I was left lying on the sofa feeling hurt, it felt more like I was two people like one person was just lying there like a rag doll just going along with what happened and the other me was panicking and my eyes were closing up more. This time I didn't wake up but instead I suddenly disappeared and reappeared outside in a garden where I found a shed full of knives and power tools and garden implements and the Dad in the family wearing rubber gloves and a red apron, he came to the door when I said hello and I tried to remember German. This is the only time I've really been spoken to in a dream clearly. I said GruB dich (which means hi) and offered him my hand to shake, he sort of walked past it looking disgusted and asked me something but i didn't understand, he asked why I wasn't talking and I said in German "I'm from England, I speak English" he was getting quite aggressive at this point and he suddenyl calmed down and asked how old I was and I told him I was 17, and he huffed and dismissed me and i woke up as he slammed the door to the shed in my face.

      Nightmare 3:
This one by far disturbed me the most. I was lying on a bed in a dark room with nothing detailed in, not doors in these dreams apart from the shed door. So just a grey room with a grey bed and bars on the windows, high ceiling and instead of dark and black where the exit to the room was it was white like it was too bright to see, but more like a piece of paper than a blinding light sort of white, like the white just was there but not a light even though I couldn't see it. When this dream started i was lying on my back with my legs off the bed and my arms above my head, fully clothed, with the girl from earlier lying next to me, again just lying with me, no distinguishable features but i knew she had them. As soon as I sort of half opened my eyes (back to how they were in other dreams) she sat up, got off the bed and left the room without glancing back. I put my head back to watching the ceiling and I felt something brushing my legs. I looked up trying to hold my eyes open to see it, and it was a half blind old dog, perfectly happy friendly dog (I'm more of a cat person), one of its eyes was milky white and the fur was missing on the upper side of its face on the blind side. It didn't bark just sort of grumbled a little bit like a happy big dog does. anyway i leaned forward a little still lying down and had both arms by my side this time, I started stroking the dog and saying things like "who's a good boy, you are, yes you are" as you do with dogs, and stroking around his ears and he was sort of barking slightly like when you stroke a dog and he enjoys it but doesn't bark like mad, just a little bit of grunting. He sort of edged his head onto my lap while I stroked him and slowly and calmly he (i suppose it could've been a she but i felt it was a he) nosed my right arm away from my side a little and got his lower jaw and eased it under my arm and his upper jaw on the inside of my wrist, i was aware my eyes were closing up but I somehow still saw flashes of the dog clearly. The dog slowly and calmly began to ease its teeth down and sink them into my wrist, its teeth were quite blunt, it was oddly soothing and i tried to pushing the dog off without hurting it, like i tried to push it off, all the while my eyes closing up but i was so sluggish and weak like a sort of drunk that i just couldn't push him off, i managed to twice but he went back to biting down, gently and patiently. Just as he broke the skin i woke up. In this dream i had been crying out vaguely for help, like i couldn't quite talk properly but I was still crying out.

all of the above dreams happened today, i had several other last night and one the night before that. If you want anything in more detail just ask or if you want to ask anything go ahead

Nightmares are just important messages from your subconsious. LDs are a great tool to find out what is bothering you. So next time your lucid try to find out what your sub-c is saying.
