Searching while in LD

Recently i had a couple of unplanned LD, and i remember reading some post oabout how some people can use "game" commands to do stuff in their dreams. I tried it out by trying to search for someone. But its just not working, anyone tried anything similar, and found any other ways to make it work?

I heard that the game commands can be used for make items appear, like taking something out of your inventory. How did you excatly try searching for someone using game commands? Maybe try making them appear instead. For example maybe using teleport keys to teleport to where they are, or teleport them to where you are. Or you can take a magic wand out of your inventory to make them appear, the magic wand trick is the one I use when I want to make people or stuff appear.
