Bizzare Creepyness in dreams derived from complete non-sense

How come when your a wake and someone says to you: "I have been alive longer then you were born." You just look at them like they nuts. Or ignore them. But if you here that in a dream, you start freeking out and wake up shaking. That is soooo weird. What is the reason for this? And explain this: I made a simple encryption where you count letters in the alphabet and when you get to the end you goto the beging. So I was almost fully awake and thinking about it. Then my mother told me to get dressed. And you know what???? I started thinking about a stack of clothes where one clothes go up untill it gets to the top and then goes to the bottom. What the hell is this?? lol.

Hey, dont worry about it! The abstract nature of dreams is what makes them so fascinating. I've had dreams where my thoughts were leaking out of a hole in my head as pieces of paper that were falling to the ground, and as I walked I left a trail of them wherever I went, and my father was picking them up and reading them. That was pretty abstract! And another time my frustration became my computer and started making small talk with my fear which was my bedroom door.

I've had a lot of really weird stuff in dreams. Like when there were these vacuum-cleaner monsters that changed people into monsters by hitting them with these little rubber balls. o.o
