      Effects of different drugs

I was wondering what the effects of certain drugs, such as morphine, marijuana and alcohol, are when attempting to have an LD. Do these impair your ability to make RC while dreaming? Morphine and marijuana seem to make my dreams more vivid, but ive never had an LD while under the influence of these.

i'm not an expert on this by any means, but here is my understanding about pot (i smoke)...

my understanding is that impairs your ability to LD. from my own perspective, i have less vivid dreams after i smoke. but on the other hand, i've never done a WBTB and then smoked RIGHT BEFORE going back to bed. seems like a waste of pot to me. but it would be an interesting test for someone with unlimited weed (like a grower, for instance. or if you're lucky enough to live in a place where it's not illegal then it wouldn't be such a big deal). so it's hard to say if it's made it harder to LD because of the pot itself or because i would only do that before my "first" bedtime, and not at 4AM, for instance.

morphine... i have no idea about.

anyway, hope that makes sense. i'm going to bed now... not stoned. ha.

Best advice, don't do drugs, they will unbalance your neuro~chemicals and make it harder for you in the long run and thats just the least of the negative side effects.

For some reason I generally have very vivid dreams while stoned. Morphine, however, has given me the craziest, most realistic dreams. Someone should further experiment with this, but I cant at the moment because of recent occurrences.

You just made a harsh judgement about a person from one sentence, made no attempt to help them, just offended them and dismissed them.
I'm guessing you're young though, so just learn. You don't know why that person is asking that question, and you don't know how much harm your statement might be doing.

No I don't understand the affects of prozac on dreaming, but according to google, people get vivid dreams while using it.
If you've been prescribed, have fun, if not, don't abuse medicines.

I'm the same age as you, the reason why i dismissed him so fast is because he totally ignored what i said above.

also don't be hypocritical, you made the same judgement about my one sentence, don't judge those before you judge yourself.

I don't want to argue so i wont be saying anymore.

Your advice was the same as mine, you just ignored my previous post.

Marijuana has been proven to have little long term effects on the brain. My grandfather worked at nasa for 30 years and smoked everyday, didnt have a degree, yet helped everyone that had degrees. I find it helps with creativity and give you alternate perspectives on life in general

Well I think that smoking earlier in the day won't hurt as much (pot). But smoking around the time of going to bed kills all my dream control. So if you wanna lucid dream just don't fuck around with drugs. Don't trust that by taking a drug you can skip all the work it takes to lucid dream. Just practice at it because the best things in life don't come easy.

Yea, I can't really speak for any other drug, but by all indications you'd have an easier time getting LDs without pot.
