      I Have Weird Dreams

      I am having weird dreams.
What do I mean by weird?
      A. I just see images.
      B. I'm not in my dream.
      C. Everything is strange.

If I am NOT in a dream, can I still achieve dream control? e.g., insert myself into the dream?

I think those kind of dreams are actually fairly common, but most people don't remember them, or rather if they do remember they shrug it off as too weird and just forget about it.

I've had dreams that are just images, some are just sounds, and some are just thoughts....

I'll bet they can be controlled. Not sure if you could actually enter a dream like that though... that's an interesting idea.

Well, I'm a little disappointed with my recent dreaming performance, but at least I don't have to do much over than sleep and write.

Was this dream early on in the night? I find dreams become more vivid later on in sleep, towards the morning.

      Later on.

Well, today, during school, I graphed out my sleep pattern based on the timeframe of when I'm asleep and statistics I read. So, I MAY be able to time myself to wake up at the appropriate times.... though I have to do it discreetly. My mother, who I've told about this, doesn't much believe in lucid dreaming and seems to have a distaste for the concept.

Yeah, I have noticed mine are more just confusing images or 'scenes' if you like, at the beginning of the night, but they gather a storyline and become vivid in later REM periods.

I don't ever remember ever having any dreams like that, and I have had good dream recall(3-6+ a night) for the last 5 months. I do remember a few dreams where I was stuck in a bubble for hours(seemed like) until I woke up.

I usually don't have dreams untill 3-4 hours after sleep, because that is when your first REM period is if you aren't sleep-deprived. Once I had a really vivid one after less than an hour of sleep at night...went to bed at 10PM, woke up at 11:30-12 from a long one.
