      Keeping Calm in a Lucid?

I had my first Lucid the other night. I was wondering if its possible to keep my self calm in a LD. The last time I had a LD It felt like I was awake in it. I got up out of bed and went to the kitchen. I looked out the window and I saw all of my neighbors cars up side down.. That's when I realized I was dreaming. I had a state of shock when I realized I was dreaming. I was real panicky. I had control in the Lucid but I lost control of it and I woke up. How can I keep the Lucid longer the next time I have one? What are some tips of calming down and not freaking out? I thought I was going crazy when I was in a LD. Any help would be appreciated.

      Hey Skarr,

I suggest relaxing before you go to sleep. This does help a lot and reduces stress from sleep. Plan out that when you have an LD you are going to do something. Be ready when you have an LD instead of running around aimlessly. To regain control, atkins wrote a really nice tutorial. I'll link it to you. http://dreamviews.com/community/show...ghlight=atkins

If you tell yourself that you won't freak out and act as if it is just a normal dream, your body will respond in a very remarkable way. I doubt you will lose control if you do so, or freak out.

      Kind Regards,
