I'm going for a WILD first because you can actually do something, where DILD is almost more suggesting to yourself what you're supposed to do, I prefer to know immediately that I'm making progress |
|
Personally, if you're new to all this I'd recommend DILD first. I see WILD discourage newbies way too often. |

This guy,, and this guy,
, are mine. BACK OFF!
Really? I DILD because it's a lot easier for me. WILD requires a lot of concentration and practice, while DILDs can occur naturally. All you need for a DILD is to pay a lot of attention to your surroundings. Various RCs can be a lot of help, as well. |

I've been trying both, and I've had two Lucid, err maybe semi-lucid dreams by DILD'ing, and I've tried WILD'ing, but this is usually what happens: First I'd lie down and relax, getting ready to WILD. I'd make sure nothing was there to bother or interrupt me. After a few minutes I'd enter a state where I'm neither awake nor asleep. I'm in deep relaxation and cant feel my body, but I also can't think very much. Like, I can't envision or imagine things. |
|
I haven't been able to DILD but I think it's just because I can't focus or train myself good, My mind gets too full with other thoughts far before I go to sleep |

In all honesty we are all different so it vary from person to person as to what works best. Try both see what works best for you or at least what feels most comforatble to you. For me I tend to do parts of both because I had already etablished that pattern before I actively started to purue having lucid dreams. In the end the best way will be the way that works best for you. |
