      Losing My Interest

I really love the idea of lucid dreaming and I have done it and enjoyed it, it is just that I feel like I am losing interest, part of me feels like I have no more ambition in it, but the other major part of me really wants to keep doing it. Any positive feedback would be great. Also, this is not the first time I have felt like this towards something that I do as a hobby, I have had this happen to me for numerous things and hate having an attitude like this towards my hobbies, but I feel like I can not help it. One more thing, I am usually successful when attempting to LD, but here lately I have not even attempted it, but I have had opportunities plenty of times to attempt it. '

like I said, any help would be accepted, thX DeXtRo...

Hey Chris, Why give up when you have started recently? I've only had one LD, but over 100 attempts.. I have not given up one slight bit of hope.. There is still so much to do.
I took a break for 3 weeks, and I have come back on my first night, with a good WILD attempt.
Anyways, Keep trying man, don't give up. I have felt the same way for things too, but you gotta pull through.

It happens to me sometimes, its almost like the brain is telling you not to be interested so as to keep you from its secrets.

Don't stop. That's the whole idea of LDing. When you get a good lucid dream you'll be reminded about why you work so hard.

      Keep it up, buddy =)

Thanks for the replies guys!! Ya, it took me 3 months to have my first LD, then after that, I had 3 more in a span of about 10 days, so I was doing fairly well, but then I felt like I was becoming disinterested. I am going to keep trying, I think I just need another LD
to remind me of what I working after. I think it is because in all my LD's I have had short ones, and then I began having none, because I was not trying any.

Also, start up an online DJ here on DV. It helps with motivation and recall a lot!

Just open yours and start posting!

Keep up the good work. You know what LD is, so just keep excited about it. It you feel tired, avoid WILDs, just a few RC a day and some MILD before going to bed will help a lot.

Lucid Dreaming really takes a lot of mental effort for some people. In your case, it doesn't seem too difficult. Whenever I feel like this, I start thinking of what I want to do, as in stuff I can't do in real life (flying, jumping off buildings, etc).

      I wish you luck

In my Ld's it is like I have control enough to rub my hands together then look around for a second or two, then I drift off into a regular dream or wake up, any help would be excellent!!

Relax. Expect success. If you believe that you can become lucid it won't come as much of a shock when it actually happens.

Once you're lucid, try to activate as many senses as possible. What can you see, smell, hear, taste? Focus on those things and don't think about your physical body. If you do, chances are that you'll wake up.

      Other than, keep practicing.

And you have to sleep anyways - so just view reality checks (<example) as practicing mindfulness through the waking day.

I quit lucid dreaming and I have just come back because I remember with the few lucids I have had, they are AWESOME
I think last time I tried too hard, this time im just going to take it easy... I find that when you read the forums it helps you get back into it.
Wish me luck on getting my next lucid!
