      Sleeping tip

I just found the coolest thing. Are there any people out there that try WILDs or MILDs, but find that their eyes can sometimes become a little restless and feel like they want to open? I found this thing my mum had that can best be described as a 'lavender pillow'. It was a small silk pillow filled with lavender and flax seed - designed to be put over your eyes to help you sleep. It's one of those ones that you can put in the fridge, and there's so many variations around that it shouldn't be too hard.

I tried it out in an afternoon nap just then, and it's pretty useful. I tried for a WILD, and found it good, as the weight of the pillow puts a gentle pressure on the eyes, taking away that dreaful feeling that your eyes are about to open. I fell asleep for about 10 mins, woke up and then tried for the WILD again, and almost immediatley felt this sinking feeling, and I knew I was falling into a dream, which was great because I have never felt that before. Well I got distracted and so no Lucid, but I am going to try it tomorrow morning... hope it works.

If you have the same kind of trouble, or just want to help your WILDS a bit, I suggest going out and buying one - they're not expensive, and they should be in your local herb shop. I can't believe I hadn't thought of it before!

what is it? like a lavender sleep mask??? please give a lil more info, cause I love to wild and believe i can achieve greater success if it weren't for the feeling that if I started to dream i would open my eyes and wake up...

All it is is a little bag with lavender and flax-seed in it. The idea behind it is to put it in the fridge, and then put it over your eyes. It's not really a mask - just a small (about 7x3 inches) kinda... beanbag, but floppy and heavy. It puts a nice weight on your eyes... I'll try and find a pic... http://www.thegoodgiftstore.com.au/annabel.php - scroll down the page, it's called the "Fifi La Rue" (eh?). It's a really simpe thing, and there's heaps of them around - just look in a gift store or herbal store maybe.

I have the same problem with my eyes sometimes. It's as if it takes effort to keep them closed. What I do is just grab aonother pillow and put it over my forehead so it covers my eyes but leaves my nose and mouth exposed.

If you go to a special novelty shop or sex store you could likely find those sleeping masks (like blindfolds). Those would work too.

I have the hardest time falling asleep on my back, so one of those eye masks would probably fall off. I did have a simple (furry) eye mask w/ a small elastic band that worked really well to keep it dark and did put a small bit of pressure on my eyes. You can find those just about anywhere from Target to Bath and Body Works to, I'm assuming, Wal Mart. They're pretty cheap, too, about $5.

Those flax seed ones are also nice to put in the microwave, especially if you've got a headache or sinus problem.
