My wife had her second lucid dream last night. I say her second because she says that several days ago she knew she was dreaming but just couldn't bring herself into a full blown vivid state. Last night she woke me up yelling "I did it! I really did it!" She had a pretty good one from what she described to me. Moving boulders and trees out of her way so that she could attempt flying. (she was on top of a mountain) She said that she really didn't get the full hang of flying though. It was more like she was moon hopping where gravity was less but she was still constrained by it.

She says though that it was not like the vividness that I describe. I explained to her that the degree of vividness will only get better the more that she practices. It is humorous to me that all of my excitement and work has ingrained a certain auto response for her to obtain this valuable gift.

I am going to continue to encourage her. She may wind up better than myself at this and having such a partner as your spouse is simply a bonus as the reinforcement for both will be more than the sum of the individual parts.

I told her that she now needs to become a member here. Please ignore the occasional online spats that we may have here!
In the process of realizing the dream, abandon all feeling of fear; And, if the dream be of fire, transform the fire into water, the antidote of fire. And if the dream be of minute objects, transform them into large objects; Or if the dream be of large objects, transform them into small objects: Thereby one comprehendeth the nature of dimensions.
And if the dream be of a single thing, transform it into many things; Or if the dream be of many things, transform them into a single thing. - Tibet

      Great
I must say I am envious.
I wish my wife had the desire to LD. She has great dream recall and many dreams too. I know she has all the signs to be good at it. So that frustrates me more. For some reason she just shows little interest in learning any techniques.
I know if she had one (which I was hoping might happen) that she would be turned on to Lucid dreaming...How could you not?
Anyway. Congrats. A nice thing to be able to share experiences.

Excellent! My wife is also a Lucid Dreamer as well, She has been doing it since she was a kid. Do you guys ever share the same type of Dream scenerio on some nights? This is something that happens with my wife and I. For instance we both may have a similar dream about the Dog and in some cases it's usually in the same scenerio. But nothing like a shared dream just dreaming about the same stuff.

Yeah, congrats, Don Juan! You're lucky to have your spouse interested in LDing so you can learn things together.

Now she just needs to register on DV, like you said!

Heh, congratulations to your wife! *claps hands* Ah lucid dreaming, "staying up all night".

As for the vividness, tell her that the next time she has a lucid dream, she should zoom in on something, take everything in, or just breathe in. It's helped the vividness in my dreams.

My girlfriend and I were having a discussion regarding her psychology class so I brought up the topic of dreaming. She seemed interested so I explained the idea of lucid dreaming and she thought it was really cool. She has a great recall but said she had always woken up when she realized she was dreaming (which is my problem too).

      In my dreamscape, escapades
I make the grade, I save the day."

      "And through it all
How could you cry for me?
Cause I don't feel bad about it.
      So shut your eyes,
      Kiss me goodbye,
      And sleep.
      Just sleep.

      The hardest part's
The awful things that I've seen."

You;re lucky you will have somebody to talk to about it who doesn't roll their eyes. You can do experiments on each other at night to try to help induce LD's (like whispering into each other's ears and stuff like that.) Please let us know how it works!

(Actually... maybe I should try that without consent...mine won't even admit that he has dreams&#33

Thanks for all of the comments guys!

Yes now we will try working on techniques. If we both improve to the point where we are having them more often then it would be fun to try an experiment where we try and meet in a prearranged dream location and try to have a conversation. Then compare notes on awakening.

      Wouldn't it be wild if....
