      Quantam Jumping

I just found this today. Its about going to a parallel universe--and there are many out there--and asking one of the other you's how to get like them. They could be making a lot of money or being a rock star or writer, and you could figure out how be like them and make the right choices so you have that stuff they do.

I really want to try this, that sound interesting.http://www.quantumjumping.com/lp/luc...FQoMDQod-ktccQ

My main problem with this is the name... Quantum Jumps or Leaps have to do with electrons... Not atoms...

It certainly sounds interesting... But what if the "other you's" are... Serial killers or rapists? There is no chance that out of the -apparently- infinite dimensions that our possition is the...lowest? How would that inspire anyone...?
      Bollocks.

Well, I imagine in that situation, we'd just choose not to make the decisions that our opposites have.

....it'd be interesting to see that your self would actually have the potential to be a serial killer or rapist, and that it's lying dormant inside of us in this universe. Kind of creepy.

ya i dont think im gonna spend a hundred bucks on this.

I'm not spending $100, but I'm going to read up. Whether it's fake or not, it had to have come from something that might be legit.

I think he's approaching it more like this:

In your dream, you find the "ideal" version of yourself - I would probably look for "Rock Star Chris" or "Bestselling Author Chris" or something - and in your heightened state of problem-solving and other paranormal dream-related phenomenon, you would basically interview this "ideal" version of yourself. You'd probably ask questions like, "Well, if I'm gonna be a rock star, how do I get my music out to the world?" and your idealized self (who is actually just a super-focused version of YOU, using YOUR sleeping brain) will answer accurately.

      So yes, I believe it.

      - Does this have 'quantum' in the name? Yes.

      - Does this actually have anything to do with quantum mechanics? No.

Simply adding 'quantum' to the name of some new age-ish belief does not increase it's credibility, it just exposes the douchebag intentions of the author. It's bullshit.

But how is Rock-Star Chris you? Are you saying that there is some inherent quality in yourself other than a soul or spirit that can be arbitrarily distributed?

Yeah, Scatterbrain, it's why alot of people think quantam physics are a joke or just un-scientific, I think.

It's real. Technological superiority is a privilige and a charge. There have been some serious breaches of protocol, etiquette and law. It's all under review, along with everything else, by me and my other me(s) and our band of merry mentats. Be patient. Everything takes time.

I agree, I think it's just your almost asleep self, like lucid dreaming (much more powerfull and smart) and you are basically realizing innate knowledge that would otherwise be more difficult to realize while walking around in everyday life.. aka never really being self aware of your thoughts or actions on that high of a level. I listened to an audio of his on the free thing just to see what I would make of it and he talks about how he wanted to be a great photographer. He asks his other self how. And he tells him to just feel the shot.

As an artist this is obvious to me. Because what people do when they are wide awake is they try to think too hard about things and over complicate it. Whenever I draw something I kind of go into a totally self aware trance, it's basically meditation to me.. and the creativity just flows out of me. When we're awake we try to make everything logical and that hinders our creativity. While asleep your creative mind is going crazy, hence the crazyness you experience when youd ream. Lots of famous works (music, books, paintings, etc) have been inspire by the artists dreams.

Well i've used it. Its set up with tapes of guided meditation and tapes of the theory of the technique. I used it for lucid dreaming and afterward i was maybe slightly more likely to have a lucid dream.
I didn't like the guy that was reading it the tapes were very long winded and drawn out and he seemed pretty boring and self promoting.
Nothing in it made me feel like i was actually entering a parallel world talking to different versions of myself.
I would say an ok idea for self hypnosis to imagine yourself opening a door into a different world. However, i would say there are probably better other guided meditations out there.

I would not pay for any of these scams. Even if QJ is real, there is information for free. This is only astral projection with a new name so somebody can pocket some change. To hell with all the jackasses trying to grab some cash from people that just want to expand their knowledge of something that should be shared freely. Same thing goes for the hypnosis and dream scams, all that information is free for the asking.

There is an OK chance that something like that actually happened to me, but on a very small scale, and more like switched places than met other self. I woke up one morning and one small detail of my life was reversed. There were thousands of copies of the change, though, so it wasn't just something switched around by someone. I've never figured out if something like this actually happened or if I'm just remembering it wrong.
