Hey Ella! to the Intro Class!

Your workbook looks great and colorful!

Just wondering, why do you particularly wanna transform into a bat? Hehehe. I have been wanting to transform into something else too, preferably a dragon.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing you around

      Happy dreaming~

Good luck with lucidity and stuff :3 if you have any questions, don't ever hesitate to ask.

Welcome, Klesa! Great job with the workbook.

Your dream recall is already very good! That's your base so you are starting from a real position of strength. When I first started my own LDing journey, I recalled maybe 1-2 dreams per month. Whatever you are doing there, keep doing it!

The main next steps will be to just keep us up to date on how things go for you and start working through the lessons. When you reach Lesson II, there's good coverage of the various induction techniques for lucidity. You can work out what might pair best with your chosen method (DILD) and decide whether you'll be interested in including enhancers like "Wake Back to Bed".

At this point, your recall is so good that we've nowhere to go but focus on getting you lucid! Looking forward to hearing how things go for you.

I had problems recalling my dreams in the last week.
I didn't get to much sleep it takes me a few hours to fall asleep.
Normally I take sleeping pills but I stop taking them for a few weeks because i can't remember more than one dream.

The light colored text is a little hard to read, but welcome to dreamviews. I wouldn't say recalling only one dream a bad thing. Perhaps it's a matter of quality over quantity. If you have longer more vivid dreams, I would think your lucids will be more vivid as well. Not sure I would trade dream recall for sleep deprivation, unless it was a really awesome dream.

I'm sorry to hear about the recall slippage! Let's see what we can do.

So if I understand things, you generally take sleeping pills (and have for quite some time.) You experienced a slide in recall and so in order to address this, you stopped taking them. Is that right? Was there anything that seemed to trigger the drop in recall?

As for the sleeping pills and sleep trouble, that part's obviously a matter that you and your doctor will know best how to address. I have a few ideas for "dream recall rehab" that are independent of whatever you decide to do for your sleep trouble.

First, if you aren't yet maintaining a dream journal (written or electronic), I'd definitely encourage you to start there. This is the foundation of recall. Assuming that you already have this, I like the idea of spending a few minutes before bed reviewing old dreams and really thinking about and reliving them. I highly recommend something like the night-time routine that RareCola outlined in this excellent guide: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/night-...cidity-132655/

Next, my favorite trick for fixing "dream recall ruts" is Mastermind's technique of keeping a daytime journal. This helps really train your mind to be more aware and file things away more efficiently for later recall. It has never failed to get me unstuck. Here it is: http://www.dreamviews.com/f15/if-you...ams-try-93005/

Good luck and please keep us up to date as to how things go for you!

      Hey CanisLucidus

I didn't take sleeping pills to long only a few months.
While taking them i could not recall my dreams so I decide to stop taking them. After I stop I could remember 2 to 4 dreams every night.
I keep a day journal and a dream one.
I'm gonna try RareCola night-time routine.

      My Homework for lesson I

-I'll go to bed around twelve and try to wake up
at six in the morning, since the recollection of
my dreams seems to be better early in the morning.

-I will also try to wake up after four or five hours of sleep,
      try to "WILD".

Write a list for why you want to lucid dream:

      -To face my fears
      -Learn about my past
-Jump from a high building (controlled "thrill" thing)
      -Explore my dream world
      -Hmmm, have sex
-Talk to people I often dream about
-Try to communicate with my subconscious
      -Have all teh cookies

Good work. I know that you sometimes have trouble with sleep so I wanted to see whether you planned to make 12 AM to 6 AM your full block of sleep. That would be good for a "Wake Back to Bed" where you get up for a little while and then return to bed for a WILD or MILD technique. But 6 hours is generally pretty short for a full night's sleep. Your longest REM cycles will tend to occur in the later phases of sleep, so generally sleeping longer is better when possible.

Again, I'm aware that you have trouble sleeping at himes, so of course just do the best you can. I just want to make sure that you don't sacrifice or shorten your sleep unnecessarily. Lucid dreaming in general works best when you get a bit more sleep.

Your list of reasons/goals looks good, particularly the prospect of having all teh cookies!!

Glad to see your recall is improving Klesa.

Do you notice an increase in your recall when you do the 10 - 6 WBTB as opposed to the 12 - 6 one? Just curious, because mine is 12 - 7:30 and it seems to work pretty good. The point I'm making is I wonder if the longer one is better all around? Just curious. I love your workbook

This time I went to bed at eight.
Yesterday I was reading about DEILD and before I fell asleep I thought how nice it would be, to be able to wake up without an alarm during the night.
I managed to wake up 3 times without an alarm. Then I just moved in a more comfortable position and went back to sleep. I'm normally able to go into the same dream without much effort… I just think: I want to go back into the same dream. This usually doesn't take me more then ten seconds.
My dreams tonight were really vivid. Normally, I can remember conversations and what I do in dreams. But not so much the surroundings.
(mental note) I need to practice more awareness during the day
      .

Neat! That should be a really good start. Plus you already have experience with going back to the same dream. Next step is retaining awareness when you do that!

And yep, increasing your awareness would be a great idea. Once you start noticing the surroundings more (dreams and irl), you can be quite amazed at how fine the details are. It's quite a nice feeling huh?

      Good luck!

I wake up this morning at 7 i made lunch for my bf after i read a guide about SP drink some apple juice and decided to go back to bed and try to WILD.After 20 min of waiting for SP i just fall asleep.I had a weird dream and i wake up at one point asking myself why i didn't become aware.I fall asleep again saying to myself this time i'm gonna be aware. The same dream started but this time i was aware.I had this type of dream before so the dream itself was my sign.I did a reality check and after i look at my bracelets to see if the writing is different.I knew i need to escape from that place.Some1 I know said to look for a blue light that will teleport me to another universe.I started running opening doors looking for the blue light. My logic was different from when i'm awake. After i found the light and I teleported I lost awareness.

So you were lucid then! Congrats! One question though, were you aware since the moment you woke up from the previous dream until the dream started? Or did you fall asleep some time in between and became aware when the dream began? If it was the former, then I believe that was a DEILD. It doesn't matter though, a lucid is a lucid. Great job!

As for the WILD thing: you shouldn't focus on getting sleep paralysis because it is not the goal in WILD. At best, you can use it to remind yourself you're on the right track. Furthermore, the things you feel when you attempt a wild (such as tingling, hallucinations, heaviness, etc) are most likely just normal bodily sensations you notice as your body is falling asleep, and this does not necesssarily mean it is sleep paralysis. Many people even have WILDs without ever feeling anything. But that doesn't dismiss actual sleep paralysis though. You could still have it, I just wanted to share this with you to clarify some common misconceptions :3

      Congrats again!

Ahh i understand. Just remember to focus on retaining awareness, and don't think about getting to SP. If it happens, it happens. And you will know how it feels like. But if it doesn't you can still have a WILD, so don't fret in case you don't feel it.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Congratulations on the lucid, Klesa! I know exactly what you mean about your logic feeling different than from when you are awake. There are different levels of lucidity and the more experience that you acquire, the easier you'll find it to become "more lucid" and feel more and more like yourself in-dream.

Good thinking on using the writing on your bracelets as a reality check! I hadn't heard you mention it before, so I'm not sure whether you had planned this out beforehand, but it was a great idea. This is especially true if you are used to wearing these bracelets all the time.

Like Paige was mentioning, I know that I experienced absolutely no sensations of SP when I performed a DEILD (a technique in the WILD family), so it really just varies from person to person. I just kind of went straight into the dream. So like she said, don't really worry too much about SP one way or the other. If it doesn't happen, it certainly doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. All that really matters is what's happening in your dream life.

Now that you've experienced lucidity, you know for a fact that you are capable of having lucid dreams. After all, you've actually done it! This first experience will always be memorable for you, and you'll be building many, many more on top of it! Great work!
