lol IT WASN'T A DREAM O_O
I had some fun nonlucids early this morning. In one, I got to kiss Mike from work. He's the chef with the cute handlebar mustache. Who even has those anymore? Mike does! And he's cuuuuuuuuuuuuute

The moon had "Motorola" written on it and I missed a DILD!
I was at my old school, and I had bite marks in both of my wrists. The bite marks were circular with the shape of teeth, and they were glowing too. O.O
*shudder*
False awakening. The clock reads 6:28, meaning I'm late getting ready for work. Nobody cares that I'm late, though, including me. I roam around the house, thinking about what I'll do differently tonight to make sure I get lucid. After wandering aimlessly for a long time thinking about lucid dreaming, I arrive back in our master bedroom to find that the clock still reads 6:28. I marvel at how slowly time passes. "This minute has lasted, like, forever. How am I ever late for anything? I have all the time in the world."
As I am in the fridge getting corn, mom tells me there is a problem with corn causing zombieism in camels and dad looked it up and it is because of GMO corn. Dun dun duuuuunnnn!
Had some lucids early this morning after a week dry spell. A DILD and a WILD.
Here's the WILD:

I thought for just a moment that I woke up for real, because I was in the same position, staring at my bedroom wall. But then suddenly an image of Mickey Mouse appeared on the wall, just in shadow form, and then it darted out the window with a cartoonish "zooooom!" sound. Haha ok, I'm dreaming and can get out of bed now. :P I got up and went out the bedroom door into the hall. I was blind in my left eye, but it looked nice and bright outside. So I thought if I went outside my other eye would work better with all the light. I went out the sliding glass door, and it worked, I could see better! I remembered that I wanted to go into a mirror again instead of a TOTM. So I turned to go back into the house. I'm standing in front of the sliding glass door and I think "Fuck it, I wanna phase through it." It felt just like going through the mirror. But when I got through, it changed the way my house looked a little. I saw a mirror hanging on the wall that doesn't exist in real life. I walked up to it, preparing to go through. This time, the reflection was not me, it was a blonde haired, green-eyed, mischievous looking young lady. She looked at me like she was gonna be trouble. When I moved, she moved in unison, but it was a bit off. I stared at her and asked her "Who are you?" She said with a really creepy grin, "I'm you." DOH I woke up.
I'm sitting on the toilet with a laptop computer. I know that I cannot get off of the toilet until I complete the entire "Ultima" computer game series from beginning to end. Amazingly, I succeed, beating some nameless final boss. I'm overjoyed to finally be allowed off of the can. This all suddenly feels strange to me and I think about doing a reality check. But then I'm filled with fear that my sleeping body is back in bed, resting on a gigantic pile of poop. I say "I just cannot deal with that" and decide that I'd better not reality check after all.
Rofl CanisLucidus. I get those too. So embarrassing :P
From a DILD I had this morning. I really need help with the light thing :blue:

I watch as he floats for a moment, then does the breast stroke and swims off. I suddenly become lucid, because HEY, I don't have an ocean in the back yard! So I start skipping along the shore, and take to flight. It was already night when the dream started, with the only light coming from our backyard floodlights. But now that I'm lucid, it goes completely dark. I REALLY need to learn how to summon light. I tried all kind of things. I even closed my eyes and spun, trying to change the scene. Usually that would wake me up, but it didn't this time, which is good. But it was still dark. I just kinda stood there, in a black oblivion for a few moments, and woke up due to frustration.
I have a feeling I was lucid last night but I can't remember but fragments. There was something about OpheliaBlue and I got lucid and started flying but that's all. Maybe it was a fake ld?
I had a dream with Oreoboy1996 in it!
I was at a mall, and he was in the distance, running back and forth with incredible speed. I kept yelling his name but he couldn't hear me. After a few tries, he heard me and came over. He was like HEYYY!! and I was like HEYYY!! And then he gave me a huge hug. I sat down and told him to sit down on the chair across mine, but he insisted on sharing my seat, so we ended up sitting with half our butts hanging at the edge of the chair.
Well no still no LD but I had some vivid dreams.
Quote:
I have the thought that the first nuclear explosion was "hand made". I look at my hands and I am holding some radioactive red goo in a beaker. I am wearing a lab coat. Then my hands vibrate and emit huge amounts of energy and light. I look up and see tendrils of jet black mist swirl around me and move toward a room full of people. Some young and beautiful woman takes a step towards me with an expression of awe. Then brilliant red energy follows from me. I see the people's skin melt off and dry up and turn to dust. I am still focused on the woman and see her death in vivid detail. It all happened in an instant. Now I can only see her blackened skeleton among every one else in the room. They are left standing like statues in the same pose as before the explosion. Some of them never noticed anything happened. I notice that I am unharmed.
I had a dream that we were taking care of a pet wolf. I'm not sure if he was ours or not, but he was herding a bunch of husky puppies and I was worried that he would eat one. Earlier I dreamed about self driving cars and how it will allow more people to park on the street in parallel, but the downside is you would have to seat extra people at the restaurant tables which would take away peoples elbow room.
Stung by tracker jackers. UGH!
Hi,
No LD yet. waking life a bit stressfull. On shift work in another country than home. First dream.
"I am in a thick sleeping bag, lying upon two shopping carts with their fronts turned toward each other. I seam quite comfortable. There are several people to the right of me who look to be similar. We are in a parking lot somewhere. There are overhead lights. I see about 50m away there is a pick-up game of softball going on. It seams to be some kind of military base as the players are wearing khaki. Then someone with a mitt runs over to us and asks us if we have permission to be there. I wake up."
and dream number 2
"I am sitting in a burgandy red overstuffed booth of what looks like a 1970's truck stop diner. There is a plate of breaded 'chicken fried' steak, mashed potatoes and gravey in front of me. Several people come up to the booth who want to talk with me. I really don't know what they are saying. One though is a young early 20's looking black girl who asks me for food to feed her children. I offer her my plate, but she shakes her head no. She says her children are in the parking lot, and could I go to them, and feed them there."
I recalled this one about 5 hours after being awake, just floated into my mind's awareness.
Any suggestions for pre sleep rituals to achieve LD?
Thanks,
Hyper-realistic false awakening. I'm trying to fall asleep and Wife shakes me, complaining that she had a dream where she was "in the bedroom but it looked different." I explain that she was just having a "false awakening." I recommend that she always reality check upon waking up. She asks me whether I do that myself. I nod gravely, assuring that I of course always try to RC when I wake up. "Otherwise I could miss a chance to have a lucid dream." She asks me to show her some reality check examples. I verbally explain nose pinch and finger-through-palm before going off on a lecture about REM sleep, WBTB, and the activation of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex.
Then I wake up for real, feeling like the stupidest man alive.
Good question. If I had to name my favorite basic path for achieving LD, it'd be writing down your intentions in your dream journal, then imagining your lucid dreams as you drift off to sleep. Then, perform your favorite induction technique in conjunction with a Wake Back to Bed (WBTB). Let me hit you up in your workbook for a little more.
I was outside my house. My sister was also there, along with Burke or Irken (DV members; can't remember which one it was). My sister was trying to stab him, so I took a gun from the drawer and shot my sister 4 times in the legs. Until now I can still distinctly recall how the shots sounded. :O

I had a DILD from non lucid dream control. I was going to shoot Indians with a bow but realized that I left it on the other side if them. "Computer freeze program " I froze the scene like a Star Trek Holodeck and walked past them. It reminded me how I liked to freeze time in past lucids. And then it dawned on me.
Dad and I sneak into the Church of Scientology compound because they have this super nice swimming pool. We see that the bottom of the pool is littered with treasure like crowns and gold doubloons. We want to dive for it but dangerous-looking Scientologists are watching our every move. We try to act casual but I know they're on to us. Suddenly, some kind of Scientology civil war breaks out and they all start fistfighting with one another. Dad and I laugh at our good fortune and I dive into the pool, ready to begin my war profiteering.
A WILD this morning. I love how my subC picked a building that I failed getting to in a past WILD:
Another thing I accomplished with this lucid is the fact that I didn't trod through the entire house to get out, a door had just appeared in my bedroom. I find that I use up too much lucid time and energy sometimes, so I'm always looking for shortcuts like this, and I need to commit them to memory! :)Quote:
So I got out of bed, and I noticed a door in the bedroom which leads outside, but doesn't exist in real life. So I went out the door, and it led me to a balcony. When I looked down, I saw that I was impossibly high up. When I saw the ground, it looked miles away, like it does when you look out of an airplane window. So then I looked up, and GUESS WHAT?! I was in that beautiful multicolored villa from a couple weeks ago, the one I was trying to get to!! I couldn't believe it. I looked around, there should have been a silver palace to my left, but I couldn't see it, plus there were some clouds obscuring my view in that direction. I looked to my right and there was the city, several really huge, shiny skyscrapers. I was ecstatic. I looked up again so I could admire the beautiful building I was visiting, then I woke up.
I kept trying (about 3 ish times)to make an entry in my DJ on my phone about events right after they happened. During one some of my keys looked like glowing symbols and Astros baseball videos started randomly playing. I came so so close to DILD while pondering over a cow carcass, but my son decided it was time for a bottle. Ah this kid is making my lucid efforts very challenging.
