      Exclamation Hey there lucidity's!

I recently joined this forum because Lucid dreaming has interested me my whole life.
I guess you could call me a spacer.
I always wanted to be a god, not as in watch over evrything, control.
My name is Mark, and im glad to be here, everyone seems so nice.
I am a big fan of video games ^_^ and if any of you have played Halo 3, Forge is something that gave me control. Delight.

So now i hear about lucid dreaming from my friend, and that if practiced, you can control, almost anything.
I have tried recently too, not too much success.
I cant wake up to my alarms. My parents room is straight across from mine and my alarm on my phone gets too loud at the top and wakes them up, so i got one thats lasts 5 seconds. IT wont wake me up!

      Any help is appreciated.
And i hope i see lots of you through my traveling.

P.S. Do not know if lucidity is the proper term, but it sounds good to me.

Don't you have vibration on your phone? Alot of people are using vibration to wake up.

I do, but unfortunately, you cant make the sound on an alarm turn off and just have it play vibrations so what i might do is make a sound that lasts 1 minute but is completely silent

      First of all, to DV!

An alarm is not a necessity if you want to lucid dream. Many people use the WBTB (wake-back-to-bed) method to wake up after ever sleep cycle.

For instance. I usually wake up two hours after I go to sleep. At that time I write down any dreams I can remember so far, get up, drink some water and go back to sleep. Most people do this after 4-5 hours of sleep. Experiment with it and see what works for you.

After that I'll keep waking up after every sleep cycle. No alarm needed. In fact, you do wake up several times in the middle of the night naturally, you probably just don't remember it. It comes with practice.

If that doesn't work for you, you can try a mantra before going to sleep, or when you wake up in the middle of the night. Try something like: "I will wake up and remember my dreams". Repeat it over and over again and try to keep that line in your mind as you fall asleep.

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!

I've been doing this the last week (as You say, with an "empty" ringtone), and now I found that I wake up ten or five minutes before the alarm rings.

I tend to do that too.
Oh one other thing. When i wake up, i tend to forget to do stuff, such as i turn off my alarm, and then i forget to try remember my dreams.

EDIT: Made a pic in dedication to lucid, but also my forum sig.
