Hi, I'm a newbie dreamer. I learned how to lucid dream on my own (well with the help of a very close friend of mine, who I hope posts on these forums). In any case, I can usually have one LD a night, or every other night at worst. Further I have managed a decent amount of control over them. However, I notice (and have read on this page) that any time you get excited it becomes harder to stay in the dream. If this is so, how can you have too much fun, or get too scared, or feel any emotion greatly at all. I have no problems staying lucid, even if I start to lose it. More importantly though is that I cannot seem to accomplish anything really worth trying for. No sex, no flying, and no heroic feets. And another thing...What about music? Can anyone else turn music on, I've tried and tried. Anyways, sorry to ramble; I just feel like there is so much potential in my dreams. I've been known to be wrong though...rarely. |

Yeah, stereos are a good example but I know that electronics dont work well (at least my clocks and computer never does!! MY COMPUTER!!! And I thought LD was fun =P). But ANY music would be cool...ANYTHING at all. |

Hope is the denial of reality.
Electrical devices almost always fail in a lucid dream. Here is something to try next time, I did this with a light switch one time. |

Ahh yes, one thing I thought I should add is that I regularly experience sleep paralysis. And that in about 75% of my non-lucid dreams, a woman is trying to kill me (be it forcefully or politically). Could this mean that I hate my mother? The answer is yes. |

"A knight is sworn to valor.
His heart knows only virtue.
His blade defends the helpless.
His might upholds the weak.
His word speaks only truth.
His wrath undoes the wicked."
Impossible is only that which has yet to be imagined
I remember one time while I was under Nitrous. The room was slowly spinning and there was music everywhere. |
