      My first attempt at WILD

Hi, this is my first post here on the forums. and it's gonna be a wall of text.
I did some research on lucid dreaming (mostly on here), and thought it sounded awesome, so I decided to start a dream journal and maybe attempt a WILD.
Normally I can remember some of my dreams, and I usually wake after dreaming, in the middle of the night.
I just have to share this, it's what happened my first night of ever attempting LD.

From what i've read, its hard to WILD during your normal sleep cycle, so I Just went to sleep as normal. A few hours later I wake up from a freaksihly weird dream (as always). I did as I've read on here, laying still for a moment and backtracking the contents of my dream, before writing it down in my journal. I could remember this dream now in such great detail, compared to what i usually remember! This I did two more times during the night.

After my third dream, i decided to attempt a WILD.. Laying completely still for a moment, my eyes started to move really fast. NOT being aware that this would happen (is it normal?) I freaked out and opened my eyes, ruining the attempt.
Calming down, I tried again. Now ignoring the fact that my eyes were shaking, I started to have the hallucinations! Large thumping sounds, and what I could identify as shouting. I managed to stay calm, and I felt the bed slowly disappearing under me. I felt lighter, and everything turned white. I was definately close!

Then everything goes black and silent, and I can feel the bed under me. I contemplated this for a moment, thinking I might be dreaming that I am in bed. I did a RC, and found out it wasn't a dream

but I must have been damn close, right? and this was my first night! The hallucinations were intense, and to be honest, I was somewhat scared. Thats probably why I woke up too. This is probably old news for the experienced dreamers out there, but I just had to share this! I can't wait until night!

Your shaking eyes might signal the onset of REM sleep.

You might had a sleep paralysis. Next time you feel all the crazy stuff, imagine yourself raising up from the bed. That was how I entered the lucid dream.

Look to be honest i have been lucid dreaming for about six month now and i always get the hallucinations and weird static sound.. you say you always wake up during a dream, thats very useful because you can use that to Lucid.. what i do is basically wakeup halfway through a dream and then sit still and let my mind sleep again, then i continue the same dream but now it becomes Lucid. i become fully aware that am dreaming.. hope that helps..
