      a friendly giant introducing himself.

Seems this forum is the place to be when it comes to taking on the "science" of LDs. I've read about 20-40 topics in here and I have to say, I like the way you ppl do things around here.
Oh, the intro about myself. Let' see... Im 6'9" tall and weigh about 242 pounds. Im Finnish so we use the metric system that translates to the specs of 206cm and 110kg(hence the word giant).
Im into watersports(skis, open water diving and such), Mixed martial arts(not just watching, but participating) and Im a huge movie freak. Im really no-good company when someone takes me to a rental place to pick up a flick.
I've seen about every movie that had any real exposure in the media lately(those that are exampt wont intrest me).
Im a 25 year old male and I studied computer engineering at my local college with differing results. My graduation is still kind of an question mark. Not that Im not interested, Im just really frustrated at my school for being so... incapable of teaching the harder and more interesting parts of the trait.
Enough about that. Let's move on to pets or pests as I like to call them. I own a royal python(lat. python regius), that's really a joy to watch. I dont like kids in the sence of having them myself, other than that, I'm ok with all of them.

Lately I've really took an interest in Lucid dreaming. I've talked about the consept with my friends and one of them actually is doing the same thing. I have a dream diary with limited entries, since I've only done it for a week or so and some of those night were a bit "off" due to some drinking and other distractions. I've been really eager in learning all that I can about LDs and have been browsing through the web for some days now.
I've had some LDs in the past before I knew what they were. I remember becoming aware in my sleep several times, but it seems my anxiety after doing so had the better of me. I usually woke up.

Im not really sure yet about my dream signs nor a working reality test for me since I've yet to see my first post-"realizing the meaning of LD"-dream and actually test some. I've started to make a habit of trying to breathe while shutting my mouth and nose, since I've read that that's the most universal way to do reality tests.
I have made one odd discovery. All my recorded dreams involve some classmates from my elementary schooll. Usually just a brief encounter but still...
The biggest problem/goal atm is that Im not taking any logic into account when seeing really funky things in my dreams, meaning I don't question strange phenomenoms during a dream. I guess this gets easier with more experience with dream journals. Or does someone have some good advices for a newbie. Im open for all ideas. Im also interested in the adoption program, when I come into the age =) (2 weeks I'm told).

I wont bore you ppl any more with this neverending bable about myself, and my hat goes up for you who actually read the entire damn thing =)

      Hehe.
Well, your criteria of meeting people is really...free =)
And about that size that I posses. It's really a blessing and a curse at the same time. Good for MMA and sports in general, but a bit of the crappy side when meeting people and giving good first impressions. I guess that's why I had to come up with good social skills to compensate that fact. Most people get the impression that I'm some sort of a hitman or something when they see me for the first time =)

Welcome to the forum. We hope that you stay 4ever. I am actually opposite of tall, especially until 6th grade. I am only 5FT 3', but in 6th grade, I was only 4 feet . Oh, well, I like my size!

Hehe, dont take me wrong here, I'm not saying that I hate being tall, I'm usually quite proud about the fact...
I was just stating the obvious, that it really has it's downs(like about everything else in this world, that's why I like dreams). And if Im perfectly honest with you guys, I actually sorta like the 'petite' women to be more appealing =)

Maybe too much info floating around here, but hey...atleast you can't say that I'm not open about myself, or that I made my introduction too brief =)

Man, 2 days here and I didn't notice you yet... Anyway, it's great to have more Finnish people here! :bravo:
I actually read your whole story as I wanted to know about you. It was just the opposite to my entrance which was just kind of "Hello, I'm here"... Hehe

About being tall, I'm 187cm (6,13ft, I don't handle inces) and I've been told that I'm tall, just like Merckantium. I also find my length somewhat tricky in some cases, so I can't ever imagine your possible troubles . Anyway, all respect for your honorable length of 206cm

By the way, when you noticed adoption I was immediately like "His mine! As he's Finnish, he's mine!" I may not be that professional lucid dreamer, but at least I know the basics and how to get going. I'm also learning new things and tricks all the time.

      Jeps.
