What's up everyone? A little bit about myself - my entire life I have been interested in LDing, but I never knew there were methods to attain one. In my life I've had one LD which I still remember; I was maybe 10-11 and I was playing hide and seek from some monsters from Dragon Warrior Monsters(for you gameboy gamers) and it suddenly dawned on me I knew I was dreaming and could do whatever I wanted. So I made myself invisible and I think that was that, don't remember anything more.

I decided yesterday that I wanted to pursue this and be able to LD relatively habitually; the fact that I'm older than I was before makes me feel more motivated to attain lucidity because I know a lot of things I'd want to specifically try doing in the dream.

So last night was my first attempt, I guess I started out trying to WILD(?) because I was keeping completely still while listening to an mp3 that has been posted here. I tried to do the "61 point relaxation technique" which probably didn't work seeing as I only knew like 10/61 of the points to focus on and relax. Anyway, I was able to relax my toes/feet/fingers/arms pretty well. After ~10ish minutes I felt very comfortable like someone placed a nice warm and slightly heavy blanket over me. I read that in sleep paralysis you feel a weight on your chest, but I know I wasn't in SP because there was no heavy weight on my chest and I could have moved if I wanted to - I also didn't hear/see anything unnatural. So I'm guessing I was just very relaxed. Except for one point (not sure when) I kind of "squinted" my eyes for lack of a better term during a semi-dramatic part of the song(which was on repeat) and it's hard to explain the feeling, but it felt like [I]something[I] was going to happen, kind of like I was pulsating and going much farther into the blackness of my eyes than just the surface. Unfortunately nothing resulted out of that. Later on I turned onto my side and I thought I saw something red, and that briefly took some kind of form in my mind but disappeared after a few seconds.

I gave up trying to WILD and just went to sleep hoping maybe I'd RC in a dream and become lucid. I fell asleep, didn't get a lucid dream but when I woke up I was able to record 3 dreams I had that night in my first entry in my DJ. It was strange, when I first woke up I was like "man I don't remember anything to write down, this sucks" but as I rested more and more they started coming back to me. Anyway, it seems that all I could remember were the actions and general locations of my dream (ie classroom, soccer field) and no adjectives whatsoever to describe the place or people involved. Was this normal for you more experiences LDers when you first started recording dreams?

I've realized this is way too long for a first post so I'll be cutting it off now, cheers and happy late Thanksgiving!
