      Success! a WILD!

Success! Finally after all my attempts at wild, and my lucidless nights, I did it right. I was laying in bed with a long cloth tired around my head covering my eyes to keep me from peeking and ruining the attempt. So I tried to remain as conscious as I could, counting to myself, 1.....I am dreaming, 2....I am dreaming, etc. At the same time I tried Hargarts Induced Lucid Dream method and switched from counting to lightly tapping my index and middle finger against the bottom of my pillow. For a while I switched between the methods. Every few minutes I pinched my nose and tried to breath as a reality check. After maybe like half an hour of trying all this I decided to lay on my back to get a little more comfortable, then I continued with WILD. Laying there, I focused on the hypnologic imagery (not too much focus though), then I began to hear children playing outside as if it were recess at an elementary school. I didn't think much of it at the time, and continued with the method. Then my body began involuntarily twitching and soon the twitching turned into rapid shaking as if I were having a seizure or something. And suddenly I stopped moving and my eyes began to fixate themselves to a certain position. Soon I could see an image of the inside of my room fading into clear sight. I pinched my nose again, and tried breathing, and to my surprise, I was breathing as clear as I had ever breathed before. I focused the image a little more, and decided to get up. I walked to my door and first attempted to turn my light on, I flipped the switch and the light didn't turn on. I then tried willing the light on, it didn't work. I opened my door and walked to the door of my bathroom and attempted to turn the light on there. Still nothing. It was dark, but then I walked to my living room where I noticed there was a lot of sun, even though it was like 4 am when I was having this dream. I explored a bit and pinched my nose again (breathing through a pinched nose is just so cool when it works!). I then looked up to the ceiling and flew up and touched the top, then I slowly floated back down onto a chair. At that moment the dream began to fade and I was back in my bed with the cloth I had tied around my head when I started. That was the most clear and vivid dream I had ever had in my life, and I was lucid all the way. My first lucid doesn't even compare to the clearness I saw in this one, it was as clear as when I am awake. It was awesome ^_^

DEFINATELY, lol. heck even the transition before the dream is pretty cool. It was well worth the effort. It took me over a week, attempting it like every night, I almost thought It'd never happen. But it finally did, and....wow, lol.

edit: btw, thanks Seeker for writing that "Five Phases of WILD" thread in the tutorials section, couldn't have done it without it. Especially thanks to that little tip about a sleep mask, that was the biggest help.

I'm like really happy for you (no joke), i'm trying this my self, but the last nights i've just fallen asleep, or given up.
but now i'm determined that i'm gonna make it

Did you try this when you went straight to bed, or did you wake up at night, and then tried?

Hedphelym, I woke up after 5 hours of sleep, stayed awake for about 40 minutes, and then did it. It seems to work a lot better after 5-6 hours. I hear its "possible" to do it right when you go to bed but its not recommended.
