Red face Any Tips and Suggestions to Lucid Dream?

Okay so iv'e been interested in Lucid Dreaming for about a year now. Haven't really been practicing on it much. But the first time i found out about Lucid dreaming i tried it. Watched a video of how'd it look like if i'd fly in the sky right before i went to sleep. That same night i lucid dream for a few seconds i was flying and it felt so amazing. In the past year iv'e only had 3 short(3 to 9 second long lucid dreams) without much effort. any suggestions and tips on how to enhance my lucid dreaming chances. I like the subliminal message method and iv'e heard of eating mustard and drinking OJ or Apple Juice to induce a LD. any other tips. Thanks

Beverages and snacks that aid me: Tea (im not good on specifics though), and a Peanut butter bannana open bread sandwich(it helps dream recall vividness and a few other things)
Techniques: I suggest you look into the DILD and MILD tutorials on the forum and home page, oh if you dont know what reality checks are already then I suggest you check the tutorial on that as well.
before you sleep: visualize and prepare for your LD concentrate on how the dream will feel and appear to your senses. How would the scene you want smell like, how would it look like, how would you make yourself realize your dreaming (through the dream or reality checks or other methods).
stay calm, relaxed and focused. also dont overwork things. let it all go naturally! good luck if you need help ask a question in the forum or do go ahead and ask on this thread or even if you want to introduce yourself to a moderator and ask them about your concern or question.

Hope you have many lucid dreams!

So i listen to some Subliminal messages mp3's i downloaded from Ninja9578 right before i went to sleep, I also ate a couple of drops of mustard and a cup of Orange Juice. At first it was a bit hard to go to sleep it was 10pm i relaxed a little by little. I opened my eyes arpund 12am and it felt as if i hadnt even slept at all. like i close my eyes for a second and open them 2 hours later. The weird part starts here. When i tried falling back to sleep its like i couldn't i was struggling to fall asleep yet my body was relaxed to were it easily fall asleep but my mind was acting up. it felt lucid but i was awake i didn't know how to get back to sleep. it seemed impossible. it wasn't till a good struggle 1:45am that i finally fell asleep. I dreamt a very odd yet cool dream. but not a lucid dream anything i did wrong? any tip on how to go to sleep when feeling lucid?

:/ you cant be lucid when awake though, thats impossible from what i understand. describe to me what you felt. my tips are to not overwork things, I suggest you start by building up you dream recall, start a dream jornal and ease your way into things. if you were attempting a WILD i suggest you stop right there and work the basics before you go there. A WILD is a very complex method ( I haven't even found an inconsistent way to get lucid through my attempts at it.). I suggest you begin your dream journal today, and start using reality checks and questioning yourself about your surrondings. if you have anymore questions feel free to ask away. good luck!

It was like my mind was really active(in a restful and peaceful way) to were if i was asleep i'm sure i would of been lucid dreaming.. but hard part was i couldn't fall asleep. Right now i finished writing my recent dream in the dream journal. all i remember about a part were i became a certain level of lucid was when i saw this mountain and i wanted to go explore it. at that point i knew i was dreaming and sometime during my dreams i had a feeling i was dreaming because my mind was aware that i was dreaming because i'd look at stuff and they'd look weird or change or my thoughts would come into the dream. My question is i think iv'e been lucid dreaming but i can't remember it. but i do remember waking up at certain times when i think iv'e been lucid dreaming.. any tip on remembering a lucid dream and how to control your self and not wake up from knowing that your lucid dreaming? Thanks

aids such as eating a banana help increase recall, and just normal dream recall helps build the lucid dream recall ( and helps you learn your dreamsigns) I suggest when you wake up to not move what so ever and question what was I dreaming until atleast fragments of the dream come to you. ask yourself how did I feel when I woke up? why would i feel that way? etc. also for staying in LD use Stabilizers like Spinning around, rubbing your hands together, or shouting something like "increase lucidity". hope that helps! good luck!

Consistency is the key! You're just gonna have to get the basics down and repeat them. Lots of dream journaling, reality checks and WBTBs. Try and keep stress levels low. Be aware of your enviroment. Question everything... MILDing helps me a lot. I've heard about the apple juice but I've never tried it. Then start trying to WILD and DEILD. It's like learning an instrument, it takes time, practice and patience. Once you've got the basics down you just need to simply repeat at harder levels to get good

Good luck, flying is amazing, I know
