I Think I did or did i dream i did? did I do it?

I think i had my first LD. I had no real idea about them until my friend told me about them. I remember vaguely becoming lucid in a dream before and then waking up right away but never intentionally. My friend has been raving about the great time he has been having in them these last few months, and that really sparked my interest into reading about them. I got really interested after i saw Inception. I never really thought that i would have one, i didn't really set out to have one either. I am way to lazy to start a journal but lately i have been trying to recall dreams, telling my self i would try and be lucid in a dream and also giving my self reality checks. I've been off work for a few weeks now due to this countries revolution (see tunisia) so i have been pulling all nighters playing video games and sleeping most of the day. But last night was a bit different I had to wake up early meaning noon, after going to be at 630 AM. I remember having to go to the bathroom at around 8. Then coming to bed thinking it was going to suck having to wake up soon, so i did my typical i need to sleep quick routine which is play a movie that ive seen before on my laptop turn away and sleep. That's when i think it happened. I almost want to belive that i dreamt that i was lucid in a dream but I think it was real. Its all so fleeting now. But i remember being in something like a large outdoor above ground parking garage the ones with several stories. Then I saw a ambulance with some writing on it. This is when i thought to do a reality check. I don't know what the language on the ambulance was but i looked away and looked back and noticed that it was different. Then it dawned on me how awesome this was!!! My only fear was waking up. I quickly tried to recall techniques i read for not waking up. Something like spin around in circles and rub your hands together. I think it worked. The rest makes no sense i was running away from something or just running down the garage no sense of urgency really. I was just lost on how cool it was to be lucid. I remember trying to do crazy acrobatics while running and i felt like I did and i remember sometimes crashing hard on my head but it didnt hurt, and i just kept sorta "free style running" while flipping and cartwheeling, then i woke up. Did i do it? I hope this happens more now!!!

I wonder, do you think the awkward sleep cycle might have helped my chance of having a lucid dream. I have read that it usually happens in the second part of the night?

From what I have read, it will do quite the opposite.
